Galaxy S25 Edge deals — where to get Samsung's super thin new phone for free

Samsung's Galaxy S lineup just got bigger — and thinner. The Galaxy S25 Edge is the newest member of the family, and this device is all about being thin and light. You get a big 6.7-inch display and 200MP camera in a design that measures just 5.8mm thin and weighs 5.8 ounces. There are dozens of Galaxy S25 Edge deals to choose from right now. And trust us when we say you'll want to take advantage of them because this $1,099 phone is not cheap. My favorite deal right now comes from Samsung itself. The world's thinnest foldable now expected to arrive in June

Honor Magic V3 is impossibly thin | Image credit: PhoneArena One of the most exciting foldables expected to be released this year, Honor Magic V5, is about to get its 'red carpet' moment. Honor has a penchant for releasing extremely thin and light foldables and the Magic V5 is no exception, at least according to the Chinese company's this week, Honor's exec Li Kun confirmed once again that the Magic V5 will be released in the first half of the year. According to them, the foldable ' will still be the lightest and thinnest ' on the market. Just like it did with its previous foldables, Honor will launch the Magic V5 in China first, but we can safely assume a global release will follow soon. Despite the fact that Honor's official wasn't very clear about the phone's launch, there are no big launch events the company scheduled to take place in May, which is why it's almost certain the Magic V5 will be introduced sometime in June. To become the world's thinnest foldable, Magic V5 must drop below the 9.2mm mark, the exact measurements of the Magic V3. In fact, in order to retain the title for more than a month, Honor's upcoming foldable must measure less than 8.9mm. Honor Magic V3 was once the world's thinnest foldable | Image credit: PhoneArena For the unaware, Samsung is expected to launch its next generation of foldables, Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7, in July. The former is said to measure 8.9mm, so Honor Magic V5 must be thinner. The only rumors regarding the Honor Magic V5 thickness claim that the foldable will measure 8.x millimeters, which is not hard to assume considering that it should be thinner than the Galaxy Z Fold 7 in order for Honor to respect its claims. Currently, Oppo Find N5 is the world's thinnest foldable at just 8.93mm thick. Besides its very thin silhouette, the Magic V5 is expected to pack a large 5,950 mAh battery. In comparison, the previous Magic V3 model has a 5,150 mAh battery, so it's incredible that Honor managed not just to make the Magic V5 thinner but also add a much bigger battery. Finally, a new report coming from reliable tipster Experience More claims the Magic V5 will use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset and will feature BeiDou satellite messaging.

T-Mobile users get new Starlink toggle as public rollout approaches

T-Mobile's Starlink-powered satellite messaging service is in beta right now and free for everyone. Once it launches in July, everyone but customers on T-Mobile 's expensive plans will have to pay for it. Customers enrolled in the beta program have spotted a new toggle that may come in handy after the public communication can be a vital lifeline when natural disasters knock down land-based networks or when you are in a dead zone with no cellular signals. T-Mobile 's T-Satellite feature will remain free only for Go5G Next, Experience More, and Experience Beyond customers after June. Everyone else, including AT&T and Verizon customers, will be charged a monthly fee. For T-Mobile customers on older plans, the service is going to cost $15 per month, though beta users get a discount of $5. AT&T and Verizon customers will be able to use T-Mobile 's satellite service for $10 a month. AT&T and Verizon have also launched their satellite feature but on a limited scale. T-Mobile users can easily opt-out of the satellite feature. | Image Credit - pinoy_dude24 According to an image shared by a T-Mobile user, customers will be able to enable and disable the satellite feature easily. This means that you won't have to worry about paying for this add-on during the month when you might not need the feature. For instance, you may activate it when severe weather is expected or when you know you will be going to areas with weak or spotty signals. That's a smart move by T-Mobile , considering even though this can potentially be a life-saving feature, most users might not be able to justify paying it for every month when they know they are hardly going to use it. The outdoorsy types who frequently visit places with no cellular coverage can, of course, keep it on at all times. Right now, only texting is supported and data support is expected this year. Voice capabilities will also be updated down the line.

T-Mobile quietly plans a drastic change, frustrating customers

T-Mobile (TMUS) has quietly inched toward a controversial change that is making customers suspicious. Last year, T-Mobile increased the prices for its older phone plans (One, Magenta, Simple Choice, and Go5G 55) by $2 or $5 per line. Early last month, it then issued another price hike for some of its legacy plans, increasing monthly prices by $5. Don't miss the move: Subscribe to TheStreet's free daily newsletter T-Mobile then unexpectedly introduced its Experience More and Experience Beyond phone plans, which are essentially upgraded versions of its Go5G Plus or Go5G Next plans with five-year price guarantees. However, customers flagged that the prices of the new plans doesn't include taxes and fees. Related: T-Mobile pulls the plug on generous offer, angering customers Last week, T-Mobile employees took to Reddit to allege that the phone carrier stopped offering customer representative's commissions for activating older phone plans. They also claimed T-Mobile instructs store employees to encourage customers only to join new phone plans, steering them away from plans that have taxes and fees included in the price. In response, T-Mobile confirmed that Go5G plans will be available for new customers for a limited time, and it has quietly made a significant move that emphasizes this statement. Image source:T-Mobile has removed Go5G plans from the list of plans on its website, according to a new report from Phone Arena. The plans were listed on the website until at least April 29. If customers want to sign up for Go5G plans, the website now instructs them to call or chat with customer service. Some T-Mobile customers are concerned about switching to T-Mobile's newer phone plans, not only because taxes and fees aren't included in the price, but also because they are worried that their current discounts and promos won't transfer to the new phone plan. One T-Mobile customer even recently took to Reddit to claim that customer service warned them that this would be a risk if they ditched their older phone plan. Related: T-Mobile CEO has a harsh warning for customers "I was considering changing my plan from One to either Go5G Plus or Experience More," wrote the T-Mobile customer in a Reddit post. "T-force was wonderful (as usual) and told me that 2 of my promos might not transfer to a new plan and that I would not be able to move back if I did go to a new plan." In response to the post, some Reddit users claimed that T-Mobile's customer service gave them the same warning. T-Mobile's move to eventually retire Go5G plans and push customers onto newer offerings comes after it ran a promo in March that offered a free line to customers who have Go5G Plus and Go5G Next plans. As T-Mobile ushers in a new era of phone plans, it is facing record-high consumer demand, despite recent price hikes. In its first-quarter earnings report for 2025, T-Mobile revealed that it added 1.3 million postpaid customers during the quarter, the best result it has ever achieved during a first quarter of any year. T-Mobile welcomed 495,000 new postpaid phone customers and 424,000 new high-speed internet customers, contributing to the company generating a net income of $3 billion, which is 24% higher than what it earned during the same quarter in 2024. He also said during a recent earnings call that customers have been accepting of the company's latest price hike for older phone plans. "What we are out there doing right now is really just completing a project that we started last year to get after some long outdated plans," said Sievert. "First price increase of this kind in more than a decade. And I think because of that, our customers have a lot of acceptance of it. I think they understand, especially since we take our time in a 'test and learn' method … and explain to them what's behind it." T-Mobile removed Go5G plans from website and is encouraging customers on even older plans to upgrade

T-Mobile has taken an important step towards grandfathering Go5G plans. The company is also encouraging customers on even older plans to switch. Late last month, T-Mobile announced the Experience More and Experience Beyond plans. The company had hinted at that time that the Go5G Next and Go5G plans that the new plans were replacing would eventually be phased out. Around a week ago, a rumor said that the company was discouraging employees from activating Go5G and Go5G Plus for customers, fueling rumors that they were essentially no longer being offered. T-Mobile didn't comment on the rumor but said that nothing was changing for customers who were already on the plans. The company also said that the plans would remain available for a limited time. The plans are no longer available on the company's website. Wayback Machine shows they were available until at least April 29. They have not been retired apparently, with the website saying that you can still call T-Mobile or chat with them online to place your order. T-Mobile Consumer Group President Jon Freier had previously said that since Experience More and Experience Beyond offered everything that Go5G Plus or Go5G Next did, customers would not be missing out. Customers may not agree, since the new pricing for the new plan doesn't include taxes and other fees. The bottom line is that if you are on a Go5G plan, you will get to keep it, but it's going to be incredibly hard for new customers to sign up for them. T-Mobile is also trying to get customers on even older plans, such as Magenta Max, to migrate to Go5G Plus, insisting they can get more benefits at no extra cost. The customers who switch will be upgraded for the same price they pay right now, meaning their monthly bill will not be going up. At the same time, they will have the opportunity to get a new device for up to$830 off. Most customers will be better off if they switch, considering they will get more perks and benefits. Some customers are skeptical of the offer, claiming T-Mobile is trying to encourage people who didn't witness price hikes to invalidate their price lock guarantee. That's not necessarily true, as T-Mobile raised prices for many customers who thought they were protected by the price lock commitment, possibly bringing their bill up to the same level as Go5G customers. It's also not clear if all their discounts would transfer. We've reached out to T-Mobile for a comment and will update the story when we have a response.
