4 WWE Undertaker dream matches for the modern-era wrestlers

Image via WWE A match with The Undertaker for the modern era wrestlers would have been a dream showdown. The Undertaker will go down in the WWE history books as one of the greatest superstars of all time. His three decades of destruction, captivating character and impressive in-ring style has made him one of the most respected and renowned figures in professional. After thirty years of competing as an in-ring performers, The Phenom retired after his last match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 36. However, had he still been an active competitor, here are the top four superstars who would have proven to be a formidable challenge for The Undertaker. 4. Damian Priest Damian Priest has been very much open about the influence of The Undertaker on his wrestling career. Priest has been called as the modern day Taker and even 'bisexual Undertaker' by others on social media. Moreover, Priest uses Taker's Old School and Chokeslam moves in his own way in the ring. Had The Undertaker still been wrestling, a match against Priest would have been a dream come true for the young and rising star. 3. Drew McIntyre Drew McIntyre has shared the ring with The Undertaker a few times in his WWE career. However, he did it long before he became a too attraction for the Stamford-based promotion. Amidst his rise, he did battle The Undertaker in a tag team match at the 2019 WWE Extreme Rules event, but never a singles bout. So, he would have proven to be a challenge for The Undertaker in the modern era. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Giao dịch Bitcoin và Ethereum - Không cần ví! Moreover, Rollins was at the peak of his career when Taker was active on the roster, but never got to share the ring with The Demon from Death Valley. A match between Seth Rollins and The Undertaker would have been an exciting affair in the modern era as Taker had always put up stellar showdowns against more opponents more agile and smaller than his him. 1. Cody Rhodes Much like Drew McIntyre, Cody Rhodes has shared the ring with The Undertaker in the past. However, as the flagship WWE star and at the top of his game, fans never witnessed that spectacular showdown between Rhodes and Taker. With both superstars in their prime and as active performers, Rhodes and Taker would have produced one of the greatest in-ring matches of all time. Shelton Benjamin Sends Hulk Hogan A Strong Message After Screwing Up His Name, Pretending They're Friends

Shelton Benjamin has a simple message for Hulk Hogan — stop talking about him. Hulk Hogan is well-known for many things, including getting facts wrong and exaggerating the truth at times. One of those times included saying he was a fan of 'Benjamin Shelton's' work in WWE. Of course, Hogan screwed up and meant 'Shelton Benjamin,' who is now with AEW. Advertisement A new clip showing highlights of Hogan's screw-ups has been circulating online. As seen in the video, Hogan recently claimed he wrestled Brock Lesnar after he came back from UFC (he didn't), and he called Benjamin the wrong name in multiple interviews. Now, Shelton Benjamin has reacted to getting some attention, and it doesn't seem like he appreciates Hogan speaking about him. Benjamin wrote the following message to Hogan on Twitter/X, telling the wrestling legend to stop talking about him: 'Message to @HulkHogan. You lost me forever with your 'don't get caught' …or as you would call it 'apology' speech,' Benjamin wrote. 'So rather than screw up my name and pretend we ever had any sort of camaraderie which we never had. Please do me a favor &…' MVP also chimed in and replied to Benjamin's post, reminding everyone that The Iron Sheik was right about Hogan… What is Hulk Hogan's 'apology speech'? The GIF, of course, is a reference to Will Smith yelling at Chris Rock to keep his wife's name out of his mouth after he slapped the host during the 2022 Oscars. Benjamin also referenced Hogan's 'apology' speech when WWE reinstated him in 2018 after his racism and leaked audio scandal. At the time, Hulk Hogan addressed the WWE locker room ahead of that year's Extreme Rules event. Multiple WWE Superstars, including The New Day and Titus O'Neil, issued statements at the time of Hogan's reinstatement. Advertisement The New Day said they chose not to associate themselves with Hogan. However, they said their opinion might change if he made a genuine effort to change. O'Neil noted that he was a proponent of second chances and supported Hogan being in the WWE Hall Of Fame. However, he did not support Hogan's 'apology' because he didn't believe Hogan was remorseful about his actions. It's clear that Benjamin didn't buy it, either, as he wants nothing to do with Hogan. More recently, Mark Henry also said that Hogan didn't try to fix his issues and instead tried to ignore them in the hopes that the negative attention would just go away. Shelton Benjamin Clarifies His Issues With Hulk Hogan

Shelton Benjamin provides further clarity on his issues with Hulk Hogan. This week, a clip of Hulk Hogan accidentally referring to Shelton Benjamin as 'Benjamin Shelton' (while appearing on both The Pat McAfee Show and TMZ Sports) circulated online. According to Hogan, he is a fan of 'Benjamin Shelton's' work. The real Shelton Benjamin, however, appears to be far from a fan of Hogan's as he suggested that Hogan keep Benjamin's name out of his mouth. Advertisement Taking to Twitter/X, Benjamin clarified that Hogan's name screw-up was the least of his concerns. 'It amazes me the some people really think botching my name is what set me off,' Benjamin wrote alongside a gif that read 'wrong.' In his original statement, Benjamin noted that Hogan had already 'lost [him] forever' with his 'apology speech' from 2018. This speech came after WWE reinstated him into its Hall of Fame, which he had temporarily been taken out of following a racially-fueled rant that leaked via audio in 2015. Hogan addressed the WWE locker room before the 2018 Extreme Rules event. Coming out of it, Titus O'Neil indicated that he stood firm in WWE's decision to reinstate Hogan due to his legendary status. However, while O'Neil is typically a proponent of a second or third chance, Hogan's apology didn't seem to contain true remorse in his eyes. Specifically, O'Neil cited issue with Hogan's claim 'that he didn't know he was being recorded,' as it centered on an excuse, rather than contrition. Advertisement This sentiment was echoed by Benjamin this week, who referred to Hogan's address as a 'don't get caught' speech.
