Shelton Benjamin Sends Hulk Hogan A Strong Message After Screwing Up His Name, Pretending They're Friends
Shelton Benjamin has a simple message for Hulk Hogan — stop talking about him. Hulk Hogan is well-known for many things, including getting facts wrong and exaggerating the truth at times. One of those times included saying he was a fan of 'Benjamin Shelton's' work in WWE. Of course, Hogan screwed up and meant 'Shelton Benjamin,' who is now with AEW. As seen in the video, Hogan recently claimed he wrestled Brock Lesnar after he came back from UFC (he didn't), and he called Benjamin the wrong name in multiple interviews. Now, Shelton Benjamin has reacted to getting some attention, and it doesn't seem like he appreciates Hogan speaking about him. Benjamin wrote the following message to Hogan on Twitter/X, telling the wrestling legend to stop talking about him: 'Message to @HulkHogan. You lost me forever with your 'don't get caught' …or as you would call it 'apology' speech,' Benjamin wrote. Multiple WWE Superstars, including The New Day and Titus O'Neil, issued statements at the time of Hogan's reinstatement. Shelton Benjamin Clarifies His Issues With Hulk Hogan
Shelton Benjamin provides further clarity on his issues with Hulk Hogan. This week, a clip of Hulk Hogan accidentally referring to Shelton Benjamin as 'Benjamin Shelton' (while appearing on both The Pat McAfee Show and TMZ Sports) circulated online. According to Hogan, he is a fan of 'Benjamin Shelton's' work. The real Shelton Benjamin, however, appears to be far from a fan of Hogan's as he suggested that Hogan keep Benjamin's name out of his mouth. Advertisement Taking to Twitter/X, Benjamin clarified that Hogan's name screw-up was the least of his concerns. 'It amazes me the some people really think botching my name is what set me off,' Benjamin wrote alongside a gif that read 'wrong.' In his original statement, Benjamin noted that Hogan had already 'lost [him] forever' with his 'apology speech' from 2018. This speech came after WWE reinstated him into its Hall of Fame, which he had temporarily been taken out of following a racially-fueled rant that leaked via audio in 2015. Hogan addressed the WWE locker room before the 2018 Extreme Rules event. Coming out of it, Titus O'Neil indicated that he stood firm in WWE's decision to reinstate Hogan due to his legendary status.
