THE FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION OF MALAYSIA (FAM) has stressed that ties between state football associations (FAs) and football clubs (FCs) have never been severed, but instead continue to be strengthened through a more holistic approach to ensure healthier development of football at the state level. FAM president Datuk Mohd Joehari Mohd Ayub said the perception that FAs and FCs operate separately is inaccurate, as most clubs are still owned by the respective FAs, and working relationships remain intact. 'It is sometimes just assumptions made on the ground due to current issues, especially with salary problems. People tend to think there's no working relationship between the FA and FC. 'But that's not true. In reality, most FCs are still under the ownership of FAs, so FAs remain responsible for the well-being of these clubs,' he said after a meeting with top leadership of FAs and FCs at Wisma FAM yesterday. On the engagement session, Joehari expressed confidence that FAM's new approach has been positively received by all stakeholders involved. 'Very good. It has always been positive. That's why, as president, my new approach will involve more frequent meetings between FAs and FCs. 'We ourselves will go down to every state to meet and have dialogues with all of them regularly,' he added. He also said that FAM and the Malaysia Football League (MFL) will continue to work closely and take a more aggressive approach to ensure that club management is carried out in a more structured and responsible manner. 'That's why we're having this meeting today, to ensure the involvement of both FAs and FCs. Together, they can combine efforts to make state football healthier. That is one of the key methods we will employ,' he said. In a separate development, Mohd Joehari praised the outstanding performance of national young talent Muhammad Ubaidullah Shamsul Fazili, who impressed in Malaysia's friendly match against Cape Verde on Tuesday (May 29), proving that local players possess the quality to compete at the international level. 'Ubaidullah was named Man of the Match, which even he didn't expect, and neither did we. I believe the media is well aware of his development, which began during the national project squad when I was the team manager. It's truly a proud moment,' he said. In the match held at the Kuala Lumpur Football Stadium in Cheras, Harimau Malaya displayed strong fighting spirit to hold Cape Verde, the world's 72nd-ranked team, to a 1-1 draw. Mohd Joehari also said that head coach Peter Cklamovski will soon make an announcement on the status of heritage player Rodrigo Holgado and whether he will be included in Malaysia's squad for the second Group F match of the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers against Vietnam on June 10 in Kuala Lumpur.

FAM president Datuk Joehari Ayub also conveyed his appreciation and gratitude for the Regent's contributions in elevating Malaysian football. 'During the meeting, a resolution was reached in which all the top leadership from state football associations (FAs) and football clubs (FCs) in attendance unanimously expressed their gratitude to His Royal Highness Tunku Mahkota Ismail, the Regent of Johor, for his efforts and contributions to the development of Malaysian football. 'Secondly, FAM and MFL also unanimously support the initiatives that have been undertaken and those planned by Tunku Mahkota Ismail for the betterment of Malaysian football,' he said after the joint meeting with FAs and FCs at Wisma FAM today. A first-class Delta passenger flying on a redeye from Maui to Fort Lauderdale recounted a recent flight experience on Reddit, titling the post, 'In today's edition of Things NOT to ask a flight attendant…' The passenger wrote that just as cabin service was about to begin, the flyer sitting directly in front of them, in 1B, pulled one of the flight attendants aside to ask a question. 'Hey totally random question, but on my last couple flights I noticed the FAs did not block access to the galley when the pilot used the lavatory,' the 1B passenger said, according to the poster, before asking, 'Is this a new procedure for you guys?' The flight attendant allegedly responded, 'Hmm that's news to me,' before proceeding to inform the cabin manager. The poster claims the cabin manager approached the passenger sitting in 1B to ask him about his inquiry. The passenger responded that he 'was just curious' before laughing it off. The cabin manager told the passenger that information was not something he was allowed to discuss with him, before the passenger in 1B responded with 'Oh excuse me, I didn't realize I wasn't able to ask questions.' The cabin manager proceeded to inform the passenger that he is not allowed to 'answer questions related to the security of the aircraft,' according to the poster. The passenger, seemingly not understanding, asked for the reason behind the procedure. 'Seriously? You know why. Don't you remember 9/11?' the poster claims the head flight attendant said before continuing. 'We cannot talk about that stuff. So thank you for letting us know what you observed on your prior flights.' The scheduled flight went on as usual until the pilot got up to use the lavatory during the duration of the flight. Two flight attendants were called to the front of the aircraft to 'block the galley and one of them stared at 1B the entire time 😂' the Reddit user wrote. 'Unbelievable this guy can't understand why it might be suspicious for the passenger seated in one of the two closest possible seats to the flight deck door to ask about galley obstructions procedures,' the passenger seated behind 1B wrote. PEOPLE reached out to Delta for comment on the incident, but did not immediately hear back. Forum users offered their reactions to the situation in the comments. 'How much do you want to bet the feds now have an eye out for that passenger?' one user asked in the comments. One commenter confessed something similar happened to them when they were a teenager working at a fast food chain. 'I did this once although I'm not sure if I'm on the spectrum. At my first job in fast food, I asked the manager 'what time the money truck comes to pick up all the money.'
