FOX4 Forecast: Tornado warning issued for Clay, Ray, Jackson, Lafayette counties until 3:30 p.m.
A tornado warning is now in effect for Clay, Jackson, Ray and Lafayette counties until 3:30 p.m., the National Weather Service (NWS) said. This includes Richmond, Lexington and Buckner in Missouri.
A tornado warning means that a radar-confirmed tornado has been spotted. Those in the area are advised to seek shelter immediately.
Around 2:30 p.m., the NWS said it was tracking a possible tornado near the Truman Sports Complex near I-435 and I-70. The latest report indicates a possible tornado moving toward Buckner.

Tornado sirens are sounding in Kansas City and several other areas across the metro.
FOX4 is tracking outages across the metro, with thousands of customers currently without power.
Thousands without power as severe storms move across Kansas City area
A tornado watch remains in effect for parts of Kansas City and Missouri until 8 p.m. Tuesday, the NWS said.
A severe thunderstorm warning and flood warning are also in effect Tuesday afternoon. Severe thunderstorms will be possible in parts of Kansas City and Kansas until 3 p.m., according to the NWS.
A flash flood warning remains in effect for parts of Kansas City and Kansas until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, the NWS said.
The afternoon round is building over south-central Kansas and has the potential to be stronger with some gusty wind and/or small hail.
Because these storms will be efficient rain-makers, a flood watch is up for almost the entire viewing area until Wednesday morning.
FOX4 meteorologists said the most intense storms start moving away to the east by the evening after 6-7 p.m.
There may be another wave of rain late Thursday, Thursday night, into Friday.
