Kansas City-area school delays, closings Wednesday due to icy weather
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Multiple school districts in the Kansas City area are closing or delaying their start time for Wednesday morning due to dangerous cold weather.
Roads around the metro are icy, leading to closed highways and dangerous conditions.

Lee's Summit, Independence, Oak Grove, Grain Valley, and more area school districts announced they will be closed on Wednesday.
Blue Springs, Excelsior Springs, Kearney, North Kansas City and other area school districts announced they will have an Alternative Method of Instruction Day on Tuesday.
Metro Community College has delayed its opening time to 10 a.m. Olathe Public Schools will follow a two-hour delayed start.
