Louis Tomlinson quits social media over 'hurtful' theories about loved ones
Louis Tomlinson has called out 'hurtful' online conspiracies and comments about his relationship, his son, and even his late mother. The One Direction star, 33, has endured a huge amount since he rocketed to fame on The X Factor in 2010 with Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and the late Liam Payne. In 2016, Louis' mother Johannah Deakin died of leukaemia and just three years after his sister Félicité died of an accidental overdose in 2019. Last October bandmate Payne fell to his death from a hotel balcony in Argentina, leaving One Direction heartbroken and in mourning. Now, Louis has taken to social media to call out 'hurtful' comments from people online, which is forcing him off social media platform X. Taking to X in the early hours of this morning, Louis wrote: 'The last few months have made it impossible to be on here. 'All the conspiracy chat about my relationship, my son or even stretching sometimes to opinions on my Mum. 'It's just too much and too hurtful for me to see! Metro spotted the pair together at Glastonbury Festival, and he's since 'hard launched' the Made in Chelsea and Love Island star. For 15 years now, ever since One Direction were formed on The X Factor, a delusional cohort of fans have been convinced Louis and Harry are secretly in a relationship, despite both men denying these rumours. The extreme fanbase even went so far as to wrongly suggest Louis' son Freddie Reign Tomlinson, who he welcomed with Briana Jungworth in 2016 and keeps out of the public eye, was actually a doll planted as an elaborate cover up for their relationship. At the time of Freddie's birth Jungworth reportedly called their wild theories 'sick and morally wrong'. Freddie, nine, is co-parented by Briana and Louis but lives in the US with his mum, which limits the time he can spend with his dad. While Louis keeps chat about his son to a minimum, he confessed in 2020 to Fabulous Magazine that having Freddie at 24 had been 'unexpected' and forced him to 'grow up very quickly.' 'It was another one of them moments — being faced with the reality of a situation and having to step up. It was a very maturing time in my life,' Louis continued. 'And, again, I've kind of got between two head spaces. I'm the responsible dad and brother some days and other days I'm still the reckless idiot chav I used to be. I'm still trying to work out a happy medium.' Louis' sister, Fizzy – as she was affectionately known – was just 18 at the time of her death, and working as a model and aspiring to be a fashion designer. Speaking to The Guardian at the time, Louis said: 'That whole dark side I've gone through, it sounds stupid to say, but it gives me strength everywhere else in my life because that's the darkest s**t that I'm going to have to deal with. 'So it makes everything else…not feel easier and not less important, but in the grand scheme of things, you see things for what they are.' When Payne died, Louis took to social media with a moving and lengthy tribute, in which he said he was 'beyond devastated' to lose a 'brother'. 'Liam was somebody I looked up to everyday, such a positive, funny, and kind soul,' he said. We bonded over an In-N-Out burger about three years ago at the Golden Globes. "He stole one off of my table. I was sitting with Denzel Washington and he took it and I was like, 'Wait! IN my 20 years as a journalist I've been asked about Chris Hughes and JoJo Siwa more than any other celebrity couple. It feels like everywhere I go people want to know 'Is it fake?' 'Are they legit?' 'What are they like?'... Well, let me tell you. Chris Hughes Wants To Marry JoJo Siwa
Chris Hughes is breaking his silence on his whirlwind romance with JoJo Siwa. Nearly a month after JoJo and Chris confirmed their relationship that emerged from the pair's time on Celebrity Big Brother, the former Love Island contestant and British TV personality gave an interview to Fabulous Magazine where he spilled all about the couple's relationship. 'Life has an unexpected way of bringing two people together, and this feels like that,' Chris said, referring to JoJo as a "most precious person." 'We were meant to cross paths…We keep saying to each other it was serendipity. Life handed me a blessing in my lap.' Chris went on to say that, while he and JoJo were on CBB, he 'adored the ground she walked on and the way she handled herself," and that they continued to talk "all the time" after the show ended. He also said that their first kiss occurred after he visited her in Mexico City and met her family in Orlando. 'Our first kiss was genuinely special – it felt like I was in a movie,' he said. 'I can't keep my hands off her now!' Chris went on to reveal that he tells JoJo that he loves her "every day." "I can't explain it, but it's a safe love. It's like a natural high," he said — and if that all sounds extremely serious, well, buckle up for what I'm about to tell you next. 'I'd love to marry her,' Chris said about their future. 'I'd be lying if I didn't tell you I run through scenarios of our wedding day…We'd have a proper English wedding and I can imagine her in a full wedding dress.' "We both want kids,' he continued. 'We come from loving families. My mum loves her. She's my best friend. I love that she's the person I have to do nothing with and still have the best time. That's everything to me.'
