City set to become hospitality hub with 11 new 5-star hotels
1 2 Guwahati: Guwahati is set to get 11 new five-star hotels, transforming the city into a hospitality hub for the region, said CM Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday. Sarma, who performed the 'bhoomipujan' ceremony for two five-star hotels in Guwahati on Monday, said the hotels are to be developed at an investment of Rs 500 crores as per an MoU signed during the Advantage Assam 2.0 investment and infrastructure summit, held in said the construction of such state-of-the-art infrastructure represents a significant progression in Assam's hotel, hospitality and tourism added that the project holds the potential to influence the socio-economic landscape of the state in a substantive manner.
