Governor Evers visits Chippewa Falls High School
CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – Governor Evers stopped at Chippewa Falls High School on Thursday, May 1st, to highlight the state's Fabrication Laboratories Grant Program and what it has done at the school. The governor also declared May 1st, Fab Lab Day.
Evers also talked about his plans to invest in youth mental health and public education. 'Schools can't fix everything, but what they can do is be thoughtful of kids struggling at school and at home. My goal is to get enough money out the door so schools can have good mental health programs.'
Governor Evers declared 2025 the Year of the Kid and announced his executive budget will include over $3 billion for K through 12 schools.
