Among the most accurate NFL quarterbacks, Joe Burrow is somewhat well-known. Leading the Cincinnati Bengals with exact passes and major victories. But a recent moment at a fan event surprised everyone.
In a fun game, Joe Burrow was asked to throw baseballs at a target. What happened next had fans talking, laughing, and even criticizing him. A short clip from the event quickly went viral and people started sharing their reactions. Many fans couldn't believe what they saw from a player with such strong skills on the football field.

The festival featured games and contests including athletes from football, basketball, wrestling and many other sports. During a baseball throwing game, Joe Burrow had to aim at a large target using regular baseballs.
The video, shared by sports reporter Darren Rovell, showed Joe Burrow missing the target over and over. It took him six tries to hit anything close. Most of his throws hit the walls or missed wide. Still far off were the final two tosses even after one landed close to the goal.

Fans on social media were quick to respond. One individual wrote
, 'That's embarrassing,' while another said, 'This can't be real.'
Joe Burrow's fans react with jokes and surprises over baseball throws
Joe Burrow, with an NFL-high 68.6% career completion percentage, didn't look anything like that with a baseball in his hand. Everybody joked how his baseball throwing motion looked like he was still trying to throw a football. 'Literally throws it like a football lol,' one fan joked.
Others tried to explain it by saying he's just used to football.
'He's throwing a baseball like a quarterback,'
someone said.
Some fans saw a bigger issue.
'Back in the day, high school quarterbacks also played baseball,' one person wrote. 'Now it's just football year-round.'
Despite the jokes, Joe Burrow is still one of the top quarterbacks heading into the 2025 NFL season.
