Woman Rescues Cat From Streets—Her 7-Year-Old Already Has Plans for Him

In a viral TikTok video, Crystal Parenti gave viewers a look at what life looks like for Leni, a cat rescued from the streets who now finds himself "held hostage" by her 7-year-old's shower concerts. "Do you need help, Leni?" Parenti asks the feline in the video as he seems to beg for freedom. The mom said: "Leni is this odd cat that isn't scared of water and will follow any family member in the shower. "This particular night, he was really singing loudly and I went to take a video from outside of the door when I noticed Leni's paw begging for help," Parenti added. "I thought it was so funny and couldn't stop laughing." TikTok users were quick to voice their support for Leni—and to lovingly roast him. "Leni gladly followed and now regretting his decision," one person wrote. "The paw [equals] SOS MOM … Best buddies till the concert begins." It turns out the concerts are far from amateur hour. Another viewer posted: "The fact that he is belting Queen, you should be proud." And internet viewers agree—knowing that Queen is the soundtrack to Leni's nightly ordeal made it all the more iconic. "At least Freddie Mercury, noted cat lover, is grinning somewhere in the afterlife," one user commented. "I just wanted some Fancy Feast," another person imagined the cat's inner monologue. "Instead, I got Freddie Mercury." Still, many felt Leni had only himself to blame. Fancy Feast Recalls 1 Million Cans Of Food That Cats Just Kind Of Stared At Before Wandering Away
ST. LOUIS—Apologizing to all customers who had received a defective product, pet food giant Fancy Feast issued a massive recall Friday for 1 million cans of food that cats just kind of stared at before wandering away. 'Any cans of Fancy Feast Classic Paté, Grilled, or Gravy Lovers should be returned for a full refund due to an issue where cats sniff at them a few times and then leave without taking a single bite,' said a recall announcement on the company's website, adding that cats would not even return to consume the affected cans later on, when they were meowing at their owners to indicate they were hungry. 'We've received multiple reports that cats are giving the involved products blank, unimpressed looks despite the fact that they seemed to go nuts for the stuff just last week. Unfortunately, the problem appears to persist even after stirring in a few of those crispy salmon treats they love, since they'll just pick out the treats and leave the rest behind.' Fancy Feast also recommended throwing out any cardboard boxes the cans had arrived in due to the risk of cats playing around in the containers instead of the enormous cat tree their owners dropped 200 bucks on.
