Fantasy Boys to host fan concert in Japan next month

Fantasy Boys announced it is holding a meet and greet in Japan in May, via agency Pocket Doll Studio on Wednesday. The ten-piece act will host fan concerts on May 23-24 in Osaka and the following week in Tokyo. It will be returning to fans in the country about two months after its showcase tour. The upcoming live shows are titled 'Undeniable,' after the group's fourth EP released in March. Kim Wooseok teased the concert last month on a television music chart show by performing the EP's title track with a bandage over his nose that said, 'Japan concert in May.' Meanwhile on Tuesday, an official logo for Double One was uploaded. Double One is a special unit between Fantasy Boys and BAE173, consisting of five members from each group.

Red Velvet's Seulgi to return with 2nd solo EP

Seulgi of Red Velvet will return with her second solo EP on March 10, label SM Entertainment said Tuesday. The mini album 'Accidentally On Purpose' will consist of six tracks including the focus track, 'Baby, Not Baby.' It comes about 2 1/2 years after her solo debut EP '28 Reasons,' which topped the iTunes Top Albums Chart in 30 regions and sold approximately 184,000 copies in the first week, the fifth-most for a K-pop solo female singer at the time. She has teased her solo effort with a mysterious teaser photo earlier this month in time for her birthday. The singer is also slated to release an album as a subunit with group member Irene by June. The duo put out the EP 'Monster' in 2020 and became the first K-pop girl group subunit to sell over 100,000 units in the first week. Fantasy Boys will visit two cities in Japan for concerts next month, said agency Pocket Doll Studio Tuesday. The band of ten will perform twice each in Osaka and Tokyo, on March 7 and 9, respectively. The two-stop live show precedes the group's first studio album in the country, 'Shine The Way,' due out on March 12. The album will include 10 songs fronted by a song of the same title. Hikaru and Hikari translated the lyrics of 'Fantasy' and 'I'll Be,' two of the new songs that will be part of the upcoming LP. The band officially debuted in Japan in June last year with the EP, 'Make a Fantasy.'
