Field Marshal Asim pays homage to martyrs

Photo: AFP A Special Guard of Honour ceremony was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Wednesday to honour Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir following his promotion to the highest military rank. The ceremony was held at Yadgar-e-Shuhada within GHQ, where Field Marshal Asim Munir laid a floral wreath and offered Fateha in tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for Pakistan. General Munir was elevated to the rank of field marshal by the federal government in recognition of his outstanding leadership during recent military clashes with India and the successful execution of "Operation Bunyanum Marsoos." The Prime Minister's Office acknowledged his exemplary courage and determination in leading the Pakistan Army and coordinating the armed forces' war strategy comprehensively. Field Marshal Asim Munir dedicated the honour to the entire Pakistani nation and paid tribute to the armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and civil veterans for their relentless service and sacrifices. He particularly acknowledged the martyrs, describing them as defenders who stood "like a wall of steel" against India's unprovoked and unlawful aggression. "This honour is a tribute to the entire Pakistani nation and the valiant men and women of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, particularly the martyrs who stood like a wall of steel against Indian unprovoked, cowardly and unlawful aggression against Pakistan," he said.

President, PM, COAS visit family of Squadron leader Usman
RAWALPINDI: President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir on Friday visited the residence of Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf Shaheed, who was martyred during the recent Ma'arka-e-Haq (Battle of Truth) against India. The president offered condolences to the father and other family members of Usman Yousaf Shaheed. He paid tribute, on behalf of the nation, for the martyr's services to the country and his sacrifice while defending the homeland. 'We are proud of the sacrifices by our brave soldiers. The entire nation salutes them and will always remain grateful to the martyrs and their families for their sacrifices,' the president added. He offered Fateha and prayed for the elevation of the martyr's ranks in paradise. He also expressed sympathies with the bereaved family and prayed for their strength to bear the loss. Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of the Army Staff General Asim Munir visited the residence of Squadron Leader Usman Yousaf Shaheed. Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar accompanied the prime minister. The prime minister offered condolences to the father and other family members of Usman Yousaf Shaheed. He offered Fateha and prayed for the elevation of the martyr's ranks in Jannah.

Rituals for 621st Hazrat Khwaja Bande Nawaz Urs begin in Kalaburagi
The traditional flag hoisting ceremony (Parcham Kushai) marked the beginning of the 621st Urs-e-Shareef of Hazrat Syed Khwaja Bande Nawaz Dargah at the historic Eleven Steps (Gyarah Seedhi) at the main entrance of Dargah-e- Shareef here on Saturday. The ceremony was conducted by the Sajjada Nasheen of the Dargah Hazrat Syed Muhammad Ali Al-Hussaini who performed the ritual in the traditional attire of the Khwajgan (saints). Special prayers (Fateha) were recited and sacred offerings (Tabarrukat) were distributed among the devotees. Following the flag hoisting, the Sajjada Nasheen rendered his services at the blessed tomb (Gumbad Mubarak) of Hazrat Khwaja Bande Nawaz where further prayers were offered and Tabarrukat distributed. The family members of Sajjada Nasheen, including his elder son Hazrat Syed Muhammad Syed Hussaini and younger son Hazrat Syed Alam Hussaini, his brother Dr. Syed Mustafa Hussaini and others were present. Rituals On Tuesday, the celebrations will begin with a Khidmat-I-Farrashi and Band Sama at the Dargah Shareef in the morning followed by Namaaz-e-Zuhr in the afternoon and in the evening, followed by Namaz-e-maghrib and Namaaz-e-Isha. Sandal procession On Wednesday, the rituals of Khidmat-I-Farrashi and Band Sama will be continued at the historic Dargah-e-Shareef. In the evening, a procession carrying the Sandal paste will start from Mehboob Gulshan Garden and reach the Dargah. On the night of Wednesday and in the early hours of Thursday, the Sandal paste will be anointed on the tomb of Hazrat Khwaja Bande Nawaz, marking the beginning of the famous Urs-e-Shareef.

Mustafa murder case: Famous actor's son arrested for drug dealing
Listen to article The investigation into the Mustafa Amir murder case is ongoing, and the name of a famous actor's son has emerged in connection with the case. According to the SIU police, Sahir Hassan, the son of actor Sajid Hassan, was found in possession of foreign-brand drugs. He has reportedly been involved in drug dealing for the last two years. The police recovered drugs worth Rs5 million from the possession of the accused, and it has been revealed that he also sold drugs to Armaghan. During the investigation, Sahir Hassan made significant revelations. He confessed to selling drugs for the past two years and stated that he procured narcotics from drug dealers named Basel and Yahya, which he then sold in the upscale areas of the city. The SIU police arrested Sahir Hassan from Defence Phase 6, Khayaban-e-Rahat, and a case has been filed against him under narcotic charges. On the other hand, Funeral prayer for Mustafa Amir will be held today. According to a statement issued by Mustafa Amir's family, the funeral prayer will take place after Asr at Masjid Ali, Khayaban-e-Muhafiz, Phase 6, DHA. The prayer gathering for women will be held at the deceased's residence between Asr and Maghrib for the recitation of Fateha. The family has requested prayers for the deceased's forgiveness.
