Hand in hand: Leading the way in community-first initiatives

Today, as the UAE's longest-running English daily celebrates its 47th anniversary, the spirit of service and community that fuelled its inception continues to shine brighter than ever.
In line with the UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's declaration of 2025 as the Year of Community under the theme 'Hand in Hand', Galadari Brothers has taken significant steps to align with this national vision. With a focus on resilience, unity, and sustainable growth, the Year of Community is a nationwide movement that encourages meaningful participation and shared responsibility across society.
Living up to this spirit, Galadari Brothers has translated its values into impactful action through a series of heartfelt charitable initiatives. The UAE-based leading conglomerate, in collaboration with key non-profit organisations across the country, has consistently demonstrated that corporate success and social responsibility go hand in hand.
Supporting the Fathers' Endowment Campaign
Reinforcing its legacy of giving, Galadari Brothers (the heirs of Abdullatif Ibrahim Galadari) recently contributed Dh10 million to the Fathers' Endowment campaign - a national initiative launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. This generous contribution stands as a tribute to the values of family and community, while supporting vital sectors like healthcare and education. It also underscores the group's alignment with the UAE's overarching vision of inclusive development and welfare for all.
Coming Together for Iftar
On March 18, 2025, in partnership with the UAE-based non-profit The Kindness Circle (TKC), Galadari Brothers organised a large-scale Iftar meal distribution drive that saw overwhelming participation from its employees.
With 75 dedicated volunteers from the Galadari team working alongside TKC, the initiative distributed over 7,000 hot meals in a single evening. The gesture ensured that individuals across the community could break their fast and have access to a wholesome meal at iftar.
Extending Kindness Through Clothing Donations
Beyond food and environmental efforts, Galadari Brothers has also partnered with Dar Al Ber Society - one of the UAE's oldest charitable organisations - to support underprivileged communities through clothing donations.
As part of this ongoing initiative, clothing collection boxes are placed across Galadari Brothers' offices throughout the UAE. Employees are encouraged to donate their pre-loved clothes, giving them a second life and helping those in need with dignity and care. Dar Al Ber's mission, rooted in Islamic values and the UAE's national ethos, aims to foster social solidarity and ensure that no one is left behind.
