Smooth operator: Oprah's favorite travel iron is a rare $30 off for a few more hours
When it comes to having good taste, no one tops Oprah — there's a reason people eagerly await the release of her Favorite Things List each year. Chock full of fabulous finds across an array of categories, it's a stellar resource for anyone looking to upgrade their lives. One thing from her 2022 list, in particular, has jumped out at us year after year as an amazing travel solution: the Nori Press Travel Iron, a compact, 2-in-1 gizmo that just might change your life. No one wants to look like a crumpled pile of laundry when they're on an adventure in a far-off place ... and don't you get the feeling there aren't any wrinkles in Oprah's world? Basically, if Ms. Winfrey loves this thing, it must be special. Speaking of special, if you have a trip coming up, you can get it for a rare $89 (down from $119) — but hurry, this lightning deal won't last! This gadget doesn't go on sale often, and when it does, it usually isn't by this much. Its current price is within $5 of its all-time low, so if you've got some travels lined up this year, this is the deal you want to snag while you can. Just remember, lightning deals disappear once they're 100% claimed, so you'd be wise to add it to your cart, stat. Since it tackles both sides of a garment at the same time, the Nori is incredibly efficient — two times faster than a regular iron, according to the company. But on top of speed, it has six fabric settings and a steam function so you can customize the results depending on what you're ironing. It kind of looks like a flat iron for your hair — it's a tong-like wand with heating elements. "This gadget quickly presses both sides of a shirt, dress or pair of pants and reaches its highest temperature in three minutes," says Oprah. It's also lightweight at just over a pound, and you don't need an ironing board to use it — together, those features make it the perfect travel companion. It also has dual voltage settings, which means that whether you're traveling around the country or around the world, you can plug this baby in. It even comes in handy for the times you don't have access to a washing machine or dry cleaner. "You can also use it to steam or refresh clothes," Oprah suggests. "And with people traveling again, it's ideal to throw into your suitcase." Amazon shoppers rave about this gizmo, too. "I am absolutely blown away by Nori!" gushed a savvy traveler. "This little gem has completely revolutionized my ironing experience, both at home and on the road. ... The results are impeccable every time, with no need for an ironing board. It's lightweight, safe and keeps everything clean — a game-changer for any traveler." "I hate ironing!" shared another happy shopper. "This iron is just what I needed to get my clothes looking more presentable. No ironing board either? Sign me up. I love that it can go with me in my suitcase when we travel too! My husband is enjoying the benefits as well with his dress shirts! Even my mom, who is the QUEEN of ironing, is impressed." "I bought this for my weekend trip and used it all weekend!" wrote an enthusiastic fan. "It immediately removes wrinkles with a few swipes, and I found that the steam feature helps a lot. It fits perfectly into my carry-on, and I didn't have to worry about using the hotel iron! Highly recommend." Some shoppers say it's not quite perfect. "My only criticism is that Nori is not as powerful as a full-blown iron," shared one. "I think this is kind of to be expected though, and in my personal opinion, the appeal of Nori is that I can use this on the go, quickly, conveniently and anywhere." A final buyer warned, "Beware: The steamer will spit out hot water here and there." That said, they added, "It's easy to use, unbelievably effective and travel-friendly. I bring it with me whenever I'm away and it barely takes up any space." Speaking of Oprah-approved travel finds... If you have Amazon Prime, you'll get free shipping, of course. Not yet a member? Oprah's favorite loungewear is my go-to travel uniform — and it should be yours too
With the cold weather finally behind us (I think? I hope?), I bet you're excited about your upcoming spring and summer getaways — I know I am! If you're on the hunt for a travel outfit that's as comfy as your favorite pajamas but stylish enough to go sightseeing straight from your flight, you're in luck. I found the perfect combination, and it even has Oprah's stamp of approval. The Spanx AirEssentials Wide Leg Pant and the AirEssentials Half Zip both made Oprah's Favorite Things List in both 2023 and 2022, and I adore them as much as she does. I was first introduced to these dreamy pieces when Oprah sang their praises in a 2022 review. "You might know Spanx for its shapewear, but it also does fantastic cozy clothes," Oprah said. "When I tell you this set feels light as air, I'm not kidding. It's my new leisure suit. The perfectly loose-and-lightweight fabric is like buttah!" It may sound extreme, but "buttah" is an apt way to describe these ultralightweight, silky smooth and incredibly soft pieces. While they feel like your favorite PJs, the matching set makes you look much more put-together and fashion-forward than your tired old sweats — making it ideal for travel days. The top and bottoms are super breathable and keep me warm on chilly flights without making me overheat when I run through the airport. Since I got the throw-on-and-go set two years ago, I've worn it every time I've had a flight and long train or car ride. I rock it while running errands, lounging around the house and any other time I want to be comfy. Both the pants and the pullover are made from a premium lighter-than-air fabric that has four-way stretch so they're ridiculously comfy but also flattering. While I tend to wear the two pieces together, they'll look just as good paired with other items in your wardrobe. Gwyneth Paltrow proved this point when she wore the half-zip with leggings. Bonus: The AirEssentials collection has a ton of other gems that you can mix and match, including tapered-leg pants, a crew neck sweater, a cinched hoodie and even a jumpsuit. I plan on scooping up a few more goodies from the line to add to my travel wardrobe. Sold separately, the wide-leg pants and pullover are size-inclusive, ranging from XS to 3XL with regular, petite and tall options. Some shoppers mentioned that the pieces ran large and that they had to return them for a smaller size. I personally like the oversized look and kept my normal size, but if you prefer the fit to be more snug, read the size chart before you order. Colors have been selling out, but the pants currently come in eight hues and the pullover comes in 12. Snap up the luxuriously soft pieces before your next trip — or grab some for the traveler or lounger in your life.
