During GCC Meeting, BRCS Highlights Drive to Enhance Regional Humanitarian Partnerships
Senior officials representing Red Crescent authorities and societies from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) convened to underscore the critical need for a unified and resilient humanitarian framework in the region. The high-level meeting focused on enhancing coordination and integration among GCC Red Crescent entities to address escalating regional and global humanitarian challenges, including natural disasters and complex crises. The session, which saw active participation from the Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS), placed significant emphasis on fostering a cohesive Gulf humanitarian response system. Discussions highlighted the importance of strategic collaboration in emergency and disaster response, the initiation of joint relief programmes, and the continuous development of human capital within Red Crescent institutions in GCC member states. Representing the Kingdom of Bahrain, the BRCS delegation was led by Mr. Mubarak Al-Hadi, Secretary-General of the Society, accompanied by Dr. Fawzi Amin, Board Member; Mr. Adel Hamad Al-Jar, Assistant Secretary-General for Committees Affairs—who received the Volunteer Work Award in recognition of his exceptional contributions—along with Mrs. Rana Yousef Ahmed, Director of Administrative Affairs, and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Hassan, Head of Procurement and Warehouses. Their participation and recognition underscore the Society's ongoing engagement in regional humanitarian initiatives. Mr. Mubarak Al-Hadi underscored the significance of convening regular meetings among GCC Red Crescent bodies to unify efforts and reinforce collaborative humanitarian action across the region, and remarked that the active participation of the Bahraini delegation reflects the Bahrain Red Crescent Society's commitment to advancing regional cooperation and facilitating knowledge exchange to better serve humanitarian and relief objectives. Mr. Al-Hadi reaffirmed the Bahrain Red Crescent Society's determination to sustain close coordination with Red Crescent counterparts across the GCC, with the aim of upholding shared humanitarian values and ensuring timely support for those in need under all circumstances. Emphasis was placed on translating the outcomes of the meeting into tangible initiatives, particularly through the formulation of a unified media strategy for GCC Red Crescent entities, the modernization of the Awards Programme to reflect emerging trends in volunteerism, and the ongoing preparations for the upcoming annual GCC Red Crescent Conference, aligned with the long-term strategic visions of the region.

Regional GCC meeting
The Bahrain Red Crescent Society (BRCS) took part in the senior officials' meeting of the Red Crescent societies from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held on 7–8 May in the State of Kuwait. This meeting served as a preparatory forum for the 21st session of the heads of Red Crescent bodies within the GCC. The BRCS delegation was led by Secretary-General Mubarak Al-Hadi and included Board Members Dr. Fawzi Amin and Adel Al-Jar, Assistant Secretary-General for Committees Affairs. Al-Jar was honoured with the Volunteer Work Award during the event, alongside Mrs. Rana Yousef Ahmed, Director of Administrative Affairs and Follow-up, and Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Hassan, Head of Procurement and Warehousing, in recognition of their outstanding contributions to humanitarian efforts.
