Drighlington apprentice named Inspirational Student of the Year
An apprentice at a Drighlington property compliance firm has won two awards for being an inspirational student.
Faye Oxley, 19, who works for Inspectas, won the Business Admin Subject Student of the Year and Inspirational Student of the Year awards at the Bradford College Star Awards.
The awards, which cover all areas of the college, see tutors and teachers nominating students who they feel have gone above and beyond.
Faye's awards were presented to her by Bradford City players Lewis Richards and Zac Hadi on April 29 at an event at the college.
Faye's tutor, Dawn Middleton, said she nominated Faye because she "exemplifies a distinction student," with an eye for detail, a thirst for knowledge, and a high standard of professionalism.
She said: "Faye demonstrates the ability to self-assess her work and looks to constantly stretch and challenge herself."
Faye's work includes a British Sign Language (BSL) project, which includes suggestions for training staff in BSL.
Faye joined Inspectas in 2024 as a business and administration apprentice and is set to complete her apprenticeship in July.
She has been offered a permanent role on the team.
Faye said: "I am both honoured and grateful to have received these awards from Bradford College."
