Pop group Steps appeared on Tuesday's instalment of Lorraine to chat about Here & Now - The Steps Musical with host Lorraine Kelly, 65. The band - who is made up of Faye, Ian "H" Watkins, Lee Latchford-Evans, Claire Richards and Lisa Scott-Lee - looked seriously chic for their telly appearance. Faye looked incredible in a pink sheer shirt, white trousers and pink open toe heels. She opted for a natural glamorous make-up look and styled her blonde locks into loose curls. The singer failed to discuss her husband Mick Smith's relationship after sparking fears for their 16-year marriage after posting a cryptic post about his heartbreak. Right at the start of the interview, Lorraine praised the band for their co-ordinated outfits, with all of them wearing pink. She turned to H and said: 'Well, you go without saying!' Claire confessed: 'We're calling him Simon today. He's got his Simon Cowell glasses on.' H added: 'They are rose-tinted.' Lorraine told him: 'I'm loving the hair!' H clapped back: 'None of it is real,' leaving the host open-mouthed and his bandmates in stitches of laughter. It comes after the band took to the Britain's Got Talent stage to open the show. The group performed with the cast of their new musical, Here & Now, which is based on the band's biggest songs. The jukebox musical follows the workers and customers of a seaside superstore and is packed full of tunes from the group's back catalogue, which includes 14 consecutive UK top five singles. Taking to Instagram to share behind-the-scenes snaps from their BGT show, Ian posted a snap of the band together in a lift, looking incredible in matching black and sparkly outfits. Captioning the glamorous shot, he wrote: 'Serving @bgt realness. Shoutout to our glam squad'. Ian also filmed a video of the group backstage addressing their fans, as he began: 'Hi, we're Steps and we are super excited to be opening BGT tonight.' Claire took over to add: 'We are going to be performing with the cast of our brand new musical, Here & Now.' Lisa continued: 'So, tune in from 7pm. It's gonna be a party!' before Ian signed off: 'See you soon!' Fans were thrilled to see the group together, writing: 'OMG cannot wait for this'; 'We missed you so much'; 'Yay! My favourite 5 people on the planet together again'. While even Rylan Clark couldn't hide his excitement, commenting on the post with a string of heart-eyed emojis. Steps ruled the charts after forming in 1997, with mega-hits such as Tragedy, 5, 6, 7, 8, and Deeper Shade Of Blue, before parting ways in 2001. The fivesome reunited in 2011 and then again in 2017 in celebration of their 20th anniversary, going onto release their fifth album, Tears on the Dancefloor. Here & Now was written by Shaun Kitchener and is produced by the band themselves in collaboration with theatre company ROYO and music mogul Pete Waterman. Announcing the project in January last year, the group said: 'We've been lucky to do many things together as a band, but the question we get asked again and again is "where is the Steps musical?" Well…it's finally here and we couldn't be more excited. 'We've searched for the perfect story for our music and we've found it in the aisle of a seaside superstore where four friends set out on their own Summer of Love. 'It's a story of friendship, romance and community; packed with our biggest hits and sure to have everybody laughing, crying and dancing in the aisles. We can't wait to open the doors this year, and see you there!' Fans went wild for the announcement, with one quipping on X: 'Not getting a ticket would be a Tragedy.' The musical follows in the footsteps of other jukebox musicals such as Greatest Days, which is based on Take That's songs, and ABBA's global smash hit Mamma Mia which is the sixth longest-running show in West End history.

Her husband raised concerns about the state of their 16-year marriage after posting about heartbreak on social media last year. Just days before her birthday in November, the 43-year-old shared an emotional post about heartbreak. The post read: "I met you when I was not looking for you and lost when I loved you the most." Not long after, he posted a picture of Banksy's famous broken heart with a bandaid labelled "closed for repairs," the Mirror reports. Micheal was approached by the MailOnline to speak on their relationship, he cryptically stated: "We're going through some things and trying to work some stuff out. That's all I will say." An insider said it was "sad" as they added to the publication: "It just seemed to happen out of the blue. They always used to be so lovely, both really nice people. It's such a shame." Neighbours said the pair used to "be at the local pub together all the time" and said that it was "really sad" if they are having marriage troubles. Back in 2018, Faye took part in the sixteenth season of Strictly Come Dancing with professional dancer Giovanni Pernice. The dancing duo were joint runners-up in the final. At one point, she was spotted enjoying a dinner with Giovanni, as he was pictured feeding her during the lunch. At the time, Michael had laughed off any rumours of a romance. He jokingly shared a selfie on Instagram with pasta on his face, along with the caption: "Where's @pernicegiovann1 when you need him? Help me out @fayetozersmith." After participating in Strictly, Faye revealed that her and Michael's sex life had been revitalised as a result of her time on the show. "It's really exciting now. My husband couldn't make it to the live show on the first week but when I got home, he couldn't wait to see me. Let's just say that," she shared. Faye's first marriage was to Danish drummer Jasper Irn, but their relationship ended abruptly after ten years together. The couple, who tied the knot in Dunstable in 2002, were married for five years. In 2018, he said: "She became cold and distant to me and suddenly, after almost 10 wonderful years together, everything started falling apart. One day she told me, 'I've had enough. I don't want to see you anymore'. I was shocked.' "I was young and stupid. I think Faye wanted me to fight for her. We began living separate lives. One day she told me, "I've had enough. I don't want to see you anymore". Looking back, I should have told her, "We are married and we are staying married". Instead, I turned and walked away. A huge mistake."

The husband of Steps idol Faye Tozer has sparked fears for their 16-year marriage after posting a cryptic post about his heartbreak. The nineties pop legend and former Strictly Come Dancing contestant appeared to be living a seemingly idyllic life with Michael and their teenage son in a quiet village near the northeast coast. But now, MailOnline has been told the 'Strictly curse' has struck again, albeit belatedly - and Faye moved out of the family home in South Tyneside just weeks before Christmas. When MailOnline approached businessman Mick this week he said: We're going through some things and trying to work some stuff out. That's all I will say.' Faye, 49, had previously jokingly styled herself as 'Mrs Smith' and said of younger Michael - known to friends as Mick - that he is 'my husband, my rock, my best friend and my partner in crime '. But just days after celebrating Faye's birthday in a gushing post on Instagram, Mick, 43, her second husband signalled that the relationship could be breaking down posting on social media. The post read: 'I met you when I was not looking for you and lost when I loved you the most.' A day later, he shared a picture of Banksy's famous broken heart with a plaster labelled 'closed for repairs'. A source said: 'It is really sad. She was on Strictly Come Dancing seven years ago and we were all a bit concerned because of the famous so-called 'curse' on the programme [inspired by the number of contestants whose relationships have broken up shortly after appearing]. 'But Faye and Mick sailed through that and seemed even stronger as a couple after it. 'They seemed a really solid couple right up to the moment Faye left. 'It just seemed to happen out of the blue. They always used to be so lovely, both really nice people. It's such shame.' A neighbour said: 'Faye and Michael haven't been doing the simple things that they enjoyed together around here for so long. 'They were regulars in our local pub, which they used to be in together all the time, and you'd also see them around the village happily walking their two dogs together. But Faye has not been seen around here for months now so we started to work out that she was no longer living there. 'Then people started to worry about Michael in particular after some of his social media activity - he posted a picture of a broken heart which was 'closed for repairs' and a really sad message with it. 'If the marriage is in trouble, it's really sad as they were such a great couple.' Faye and Michael - who share a son and married at Beamish Hall, County Durham, in December 2009 - survived the 'Strictly curse' when she appeared on the show in 2018, partnering Giovanni Pernice. She and the pro dancer were photographed together having what was termed a 'flirty' lunch to celebrate her 43rd birthday. In the pictures the pair appear to gaze into each other's eyes and Giovanni reaches out a hand across the table to touch her face. Asked about Strictly's marriage-wrecking reputation, Faye said: 'I think it's down to the individual couples, for us we have a real marriage. 'We have been married for nine years and we've always worked away from each other. I've always toured. The fact I was on Strictly doesn't change anything for us. We are solid.' The singer is about to join the cast of Diamonds and Dust at the Emerald Theatre in London's West End, alongside burlesque queen Dita Von Teese. She will play Miss Kitty LeRoy in the show's world premier, which begins on June 16th.
