Johor Unveils 14 Special Initiatives For Felda Community
KOTA TINGGI, June 29 (Bernama) -- The Johor government has announced 14 special initiatives for Felda community in the state, including 10 haj pilgrimage quotas for settlers, as a gesture of appreciation for their contributions.
Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi said the initiatives also include food baskets worth RM100 each for settlers with a total allocation of RM2.76 million, and education assistance for the children of Felda settlers.
'Assistance will also be extended to 71 Scheme Development and Security Committees, Felda Youth Council of Malaysia, the Women's Association Movement, as well as mosques and surau,' he said at the Johor MADANI Felda Settlers' Day celebration in Felda Tunggal here today.
