Why Sarah Michelle Gellar Never Read Any Parenting Books as a ‘New Mom'

Imagine taking your lunch break, only to be greeted by Sarah Michelle Gellar cooking alongside famed RD Maya Feller. In an exclusive event attended by a couple of dozen others, SheKnows sat down to see Gellar and Feller discuss all things meal planning with MyFitnessPal, the number one nutrition tracking app. She talked about so many subjects like meal planning on a busy schedule, food tricks, and of course, all things parenting. And amid them baking a delicious recipe, Gellar revealed something about when she was a new mom: she never read any parenting book! More from SheKnows Grace Warrior Is in Her Surfer Girl Era in New Photos & She Even Found a Way To Bring Animals With Her 'Books would spin me out as a new mom,' she said to Feller. 'I could probably read them now, but not as a new mom. I was too, like, nervous about everything.' So Gellar is all about being instinctual, which totally checks out when you remember what she told us in 2019. Now, in a previous interview with SheKnows in 2019, Gellar told us that the advice she would give her 'pre-motherhood self' is all about experience, rather than advice. 'You can give all the advice in the world, but the reason you don't have that knowledge is because you don't have that experience,' she said. 'Any knowledge I could have passed along to myself in advance would have been wasted, because I had to go through the experience.' For those who don't know, Gellar and Prinze met back in 1997 on the set of I Know What You Did Last Summer, but didn't start dating until 2000. They got engaged in early 2001 and married nearly 18 months later, in Sept 2002. The lovebirds have two children together named Charlotte, born in 2009, and Rocky, born in 2012. In a previous interview with SheKnows, Gellar talked about how everything changed when she became a mom, saying, 'But all of a sudden, in your mind, 24 hours a day, seven days a week, you're worried about these little beings in an incredibly all-consuming, beautiful but stressful way.'Best of SheKnows Brooke Shields, Kylie Jenner, Serena Williams, & More Celeb Moms Who Battled Postpartum Depression Recent Baby & Toddler Product Recalls Every Parent and Caregiver Should Know About 22 Celebrity Moms Whose Cannabis Use May Help Them Handle It All

Famous win for Heidenheim in Copenhagen

Heidenheim came into the tie on the back of four straight Bundesliga defeats. With Holstein Kiel and VfL Bochum sharing the spoils last Sunday, FCH are currently three points adrift of the foot of the table. Just like the league phase, Frank Schmidt picked a different team from the one struggling to pick up points in Bundesliga. In contrast, Copenhagen are top of the Danish Superliga by virtue of a superior goal difference over FC Midtjylland. However, with the winter break lasting until the upcoming weekend, Jacob Neestrup's side was yet to play a competitive game in 2025. They lost both of their last two friendlies, including a 4-3 defeat to fellow Superliga team AGF last Saturday. The hosts started the game brightly as they dominated possession before the game's first chance in the 20th minute. Rodrigo Huescas, who comes in the place of suspended Kevin Dicks, was expertly denied by Heindeheim's young goalkeeper Frank Feller. The right-back's header ricocheted off the post by the 21-year-old before Norman Theuerkauf cleared Jordan Larsson's subsequent effort from the goal line. Feller's next big save shortly followed as he parried away Victor Froholdt's curling attempt. The 18-year-old produced another dazzling performance in his 40th appearance for Copenhagen. The chances keep coming for Copenhagen with Robert, Viktor Claesson and Magnus Mattsson failing to convert opportunities until the last kick of the first-half. Marcos López's overlapping run was spotted by Mattsson, who split Heidenheim's defensive line with a weighted through pass. From the Peruvian's pin-point delivery, Larsson opened the scoring with an easy finish. Henrik Larsson's son had a scoreless spell at Schalke before a permanent move to Copenhagen for €2 million at the start of last season. It was his first goal in all competitions in a campaign riddled with injuries. Marvin Pieringer had Heidenheim's only shot on target in the first-half. However, Diant Ramaj's debut was still eventful thanks to Schmidt's substitutions and Heidenheim's set-pieces play after the break. Replacing the 38-year-old Theuerkauf for the second-half, Omar Traoré posed a consistent attacking threat while restricting López to his half. And, then, there was a big improvement from Heidenheim's set-pieces. Paul Wanner's deliveries made it feel like Jan-Niklas Beste was back in the club. The Bayern loanee was also at the heart of the equalizing goal. His free-kick was headed by the two center-backs before Thomas Keller guided it home in his European debut. Instead of going for the draw, Schmidt introduced Budu Zivzivadz and Mathias Honsak right away. Ramaj would then make great saves from Wanner and Honsak before Copenhagen regained momentum with Mohamed Elyounoussi and Roony Bardghji's introductions. The duo combined well before Feller made another super save to deny the 19-year-old. But, against all odds, it was the guests who came away with a slender first leg lead. Tim Seirsleben timed his run to finish off a move he started with aplomb. The center-back was unmarked when Honsak's delivery was deflected his way by Thomas Delaney. In the dying minutes, Ramaj even had to make another good save from Jan Schoppner. Heidenheim will return to league action on Sunday when they host Mainz. Copenhagen's first league game of the year will see them travel to third-placed Randers FC on Monday. The Conference League tie will be decided on Voith-Arena next week.

Firm chosen for study

County to negotiate contract with firm for feasibility study Contract negotiations between Koochiching County and engineering firm R. W. Beck are expected to begin as the proposed plasma gasification project moves a step forward. The Koochiching Development Authority Board Tuesday unanimously agreed to begin negotiations to hire R. W. Beck to complete the feasibility study in the Renewable Energy Clean Air Project. Commissioner Kevin Adee was absent for the vote. R. W. Beck was recommended to KDA by a six-member committee after it conducted interviews with three firms Thursday. The committee was composed of county representatives and consultants from Coronal, the consulting firm for the project. R. W. Beck was chosen because it had the most experience with evaluating gasification technology, with previous experience in Honolulu and Ottawa, said Paul Nevanen, director of the Koochiching Economic Development Authority. The plasma gasification facility would use garbage and wood biomass to create energy and other valuable byproducts while at the same time reducing the amount of garbage Koochiching County sends to a landfill. R. W. Beck is an engineering firm that will draw from its national offices to form a team of consultants to complete the feasibility study. It is important for the work on the study to be 'transparent' and for the study prepared by R. W. Beck to be 'defensible', KDA board member Mike Hanson said. The Legislature appropriated $400,000 in funding for the feasibility study. R.W. Beck's proposed that the feasibility study would cost $200,000, the highest bid of the three firms. But it was evident that the lowest bidder was not prepared during the interview, Environmental Services Director Richard Lehtinen said. After a contract has been negotiated, it is expected to be brought to the KDA Board for approval. The study, which is estimated to take 14 weeks, is expected to begin after approval of a contract. Later in the morning Tuesday, commissioners supported addition of adult day services to the other services provided by the Occupational Development Center. It will take the ODC about a year to become licensed, according to the ODC coordinator Jenell Feller. Adult day services would serve people over the age of 18 who need supervision during the day because of events such as a traumatic brain injury, early stages of Alzeheimer's or muscular dystrophy, according to Feller. Feller also discussed the ODC's proposed move from it offices at 20th Avenue to the International Industrial Park. The ODC is stuck where is located now because of wetland issues on property in the industrial park, Feller said.
