Private Maldives island comes with one-of-a-kind Ferrari - but it'll cost you

The Ferrari Testa Rossa J has been brought to the Maldives island for guests who exclusively hire Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi - but it will cost you a pretty penny A private island stay in the Maldives, costing a whopping £55,000-a-night, has just upped its luxury game by importing a Ferrari for guests to drive around the resort. The Ferrari Testa Rossa J is a 75% reproduction of the iconic Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa – a model that holds a significant place in the annals of Ferrari and motor racing history. This exclusive vehicle, the only car on the island, has been shipped over for the use of guests who hire Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi exclusively. ‌ Only 299 of these £110,000 cars were ever produced. The full-sized version, which can fetch a staggering £28,000,000, famously became the first car to win the 24 Hours of Le Mans four times. ‌ The EV Ferrari Testa Rossa J will be available exclusively for private island guests to test drive during their stay - and is included in the price when guests hire the island. Ithaafushi, the largest private island in the Maldives, spanning over 344,000 square-feet, can ordinarily accommodate 24 guests. However, those hiring the island privately can use the EV Ferrari to travel between private yoga sessions, the five pools and numerous restaurants. This comes after Waldorf Astoria Ithaafushi, also known as Pearl Island in the Maldivian language Dhiveh, partnered with Hedley Studios - formerly The Little Car Company. The scaled-down electric icon Ferrari will be there for a year. It was developed from the original drawings of the original - which conquered the 1000km in Buenos Aires and the 12 Hours of Sebring with the driving duo Phil Hill and Peter Collins. In addition to the car, guests can also savour customised menus and have close encounters with wild turtles and whale sharks. The price for a night's stay on the island varies, but it is believed to be around £55,000. The world of mega-exclusive holidays is a fascinating one, even if most of us can only ever dream of affording one. ‌ Philippe Brown has been organising incredible trips for society's uber wealthy for decades, having spent 13 years as a location scout and then tour guide in some of the world's most exotic destinations. Exquisite Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Re-Creation by Tempero Now On Bring A Trailer

⚡️ Read the full article on Motorious A meticulously crafted re-creation of the iconic Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, designed by the skilled hands of Tempero Coach & Motor Company of New Zealand, is now being offered on consignment in Arizona. This re-creation, built in the early 1980s using a donor 250 GT, replicates the Ferrari TR59, famously driven to victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring by legendary drivers such as Dan Gurney and Phil Hill. Under the hood of this remarkable vehicle lies a 3.0-liter V12 engine, constructed by Dennison International of North Puyallup, Washington. This engine, built to 250 GTO specifications, features a GTO Engineering block, Roelofs Engineering cylinder heads, and six Weber 38 DCN carburetors replicated by Roelofs Engineering. Its powertrain is completed with a robust Tremec five-speed manual transmission with electrically actuated overdrive, ensuring that it not only looks like a classic race car but performs like one too. The body of the car is adorned with hand-formed aluminum panels finished in a vibrant red, complemented by white #7 roundels, giving it the authentic race car appearance. The vehicle also features a host of period-correct details such as faired-in Marchal headlights, a wrap-around windscreen, and leather straps on the hood and decklid. These details are not just cosmetic; they enhance the car's historical authenticity and visual appeal. Riding on 16" Borrani wire-spoke wheels, the car maintains a classic yet functional stance, suitable for both display and active driving in vintage car events. The suspension system features an A-arm independent front setup and a De Dion rear axle, paired with coilover shock absorbers for smooth handling. The braking system is equipped with Dunlop calipers to ensure reliable stopping power. Inside, the cockpit is a throwback to the golden era of racing with fixed-back bucket seats upholstered in blue cloth, a wood-rimmed Nardi steering wheel, and classic Jaeger instrumentation. This setup not only provides comfort but also an immersive driving experience reminiscent of 1960s race cars. This Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa re-creation is not just a tribute to one of the most successful race cars in history but also a testament to the artistry and craftsmanship of its builders. Offered with service records, an FIA Historic Vehicle Identity Form, and a clean Oregon title that lists the vehicle as a 1962 Ferrari, this car presents a unique opportunity for collectors and racing enthusiasts alike to own a piece of automotive art that captures the spirit and excitement of a bygone era. The Multi-Million-Dollar Squabble Behind ModaMiami

What started out as something of a tiff between auction giants RM Sotheby's and Hagerty's Broad Arrow seems to have worked itself out into a splendid couple of weeks in South Florida.1958 Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa Harry Yeaggy, Cincinnati, Ohio As the season comes into full swing in sunny south Florida, the car collecting cognoscenti now have two events in a row to attend: last week's ModaMiami held in Coral Gables at the fabulous and historic Biltmore Hotel, and The Amelia, now scheduled for this Saturday only (because of a thunderstorm scheduled for Sunday) at the Ritz Carlton in Amelia Island just up the year, Moda's first, there was a bit of a scheduling snafu—which might have been intentional, might not have been, no one's saying—that saw both events on the same weekend. See, when Hagerty took over the Amelia in 2021, it hadn't yet acquired Broad Arrow Auctions. It did that the following year, and it held its first Broad Arrow Auction at the Amelia last year. RM had been hosting an auction at Amelia since RM Sotheby's held its first ModaMiami 'lifestyle event,' that happened to include an RM Sotheby's auction, the same weekend last year. Scandal! This year the two events were separated by a week, creating a lovely Florida destination week or two for a lot of car weekend was the second running of ModaMiami and, as we said, the 2025 Broad Arrow auction is going to be held Saturday, March it? Too much Inside Baseball? Anyway, the ModaMiami event was a blast, by all accounts, including the official account from organizers, whom you'd expect to say Duff, president of RM Sotheby's, described this year's ModaMiami as 'an event that's redefining what a concours can be.''After our successful debut (last year, which had eight Pebble Beach Best of Show winners in attendance), we're glad to return with an exceptional showcase that blends the best of automotive history with a modern, forward-thinking vibe.'This year's Moda featured 275 cars in the two-day concours held Saturday and Sunday under sunny skies, as well as a driving tour of Coral Gables and the best parts of South Florida on Friday. There was even a Moda After Dark party hosted by Rolls-Royce Saturday the lawn were featured marques like: 50 Years of the Countach, 20 Years of the Veyron, six Mille Miglia cars, and classes for hypercars, Cadillacs, and Stuttgart the auction? RM Sotheby's sold almost $75 million worth of cars over the course of ModaMiami, including a 1966 Ford GT40 Mk II that hammered for $13.2 million, a 1908 Mercedes 150 HP Rennwagen that sold for $8.25 million, and a 1957 Chevrolet Corvette SS XP-64 that went for $7.7 million. A million here a million there and soon you're talking about real everything goes up the coast for tomorrow's Amelia Island concours and auction. Hope to have photos of that for you, too.

$60,000 Ferrari Book by Taschen Remains Unopened in Factory Crate

Read the full story on Modern Car Collector A pristine example of the $60,000 Ferrari Art Edition book by Taschen has surfaced for sale, still sealed in its original factory crate. Released in 2018, the book, simply titled 'Ferrari,' was produced in a limited run of just 250 copies, each accompanied by a distinctive bookstand and case designed by renowned industrial designer Marc Newson. The book, a detailed homage to Ferrari's illustrious history, comes with a stand crafted from TIG-welded, chrome-plated steel that is inspired by the exhaust manifolds of Ferrari's iconic V12 engines. The case, designed to resemble the red crackle-finish valve covers of the Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa, is a testament to Ferrari's commitment to artistry in both design and engineering. When assembled, the book's stand and cover measure 55cm x 57cm x 110cm in height, creating a striking visual that is as much a piece of art as it is a reference book. Though the book was initially available in two editions— the $10,000 Collector's Edition and the rarer $60,000 Art Edition— all copies sold out quickly, with Ferrari enthusiasts snapping them up as exclusive collector's items. For those seeking a new, unopened edition, this example is one of the last available in its original crate, greatly increasing its value. The packaging itself is a work of art, with the wooden crate designed to house the book, stand, and case, giving collectors the choice to open it or keep it sealed for posterity. With the book's scarcity and unique presentation, it's sure to attract the attention of Ferrari collectors and automotive enthusiasts alike. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter
