Royal Pains Revival Eyed at NBC, With Mark Feuerstein Returning to Star
Royal Pains has a pulse after all: NBC is developing a revival of the USA Network medical dramedy, according to our sister site Deadline, with star Mark Feuerstein returning to reprise his role.
Original co-creator Andrew Lenchewski will return as a writer and executive producer, along with Michael Rauch, who was a writer, director and EP on the original series. Besides Feuerstein, though, no original cast members are attached to return at this point.

Royal Pains starred Feuerstein as Hank Lawson, a former ER doctor who began working as a concierge doctor to the rich and powerful in the Hamptons. The revival catches up with Hank 'several years later' and finds him 'searching for a new purpose in life' and 'about to embark on his biggest project yet,' per the official synopsis.
Debuting in 2009, Royal Pains became a steady ratings performer for USA Network, eventually running for eight seasons. Paolo Costanzo co-starred as Hank's brother Evan, with Reshma Shetty as physician assistant Divya and Brooke D'Orsay as Evan's wife Paige. The supporting cast included Jill Flint, Ben Shenkman, Campbell Scott and Henry Winkler.
If it makes it onto NBC's primetime schedule, the Royal Pains revival would join Suits LA, a continuation of fellow USA Network series Suits, with Stephen Amell in the lead role. Suits LA premiered on NBC in February, but has yet to be renewed for a second season.
