See photos as young Wicklow and Wexford stars bring Matilda the Musical to life

Murphy Academy of Drama (MAD) students from both sides of the Wicklow-Wexford border shone when they brought Matilda the Musical to the stage at Gorey Little Theatre.
Performed by junior and mini classes from MAD's three performing arts schools in Arklow, Gorey and Rathdrum, the students wowed two packed audiences, while senior students also supported and helped in front of house and backstage.
Full of praise for all her students, including Gorey student Fiadh Kilbride, who played Matilda and 'took the massive role in her stride', MAD founder Kathyann Murphy said: 'Matilda was the result of months of work from students aged between 4 and 12 years old.
'MAD will celebrate its 10th anniversary in September and looks forward to welcoming new and old students for exciting opportunities.'
