Tiny Orange Cat Tests Out Bath Time ‘Boats' Like the Cutest Little Sailor
Who says that cats can't enjoy the water? It is true that there are a good number of felines that do not enjoy getting wet. However, there are some cats that can still enjoy relaxing on the water if they have a little boat.
Just take this adorable orange kitten, Peaches, for instance. She just looks snug as a bug floating around in her little boats in the bathtub. However, not all of these boats are a good fit for her. That's why it's important for her to test each one out to see how she likes them.
Well, Peaches found her boat. Unsurprisingly, the simplest boat (a Tupperware bowl) turned out to be the best. It's funny how that works.
After she outgrew her initial Tupperware bowl boat, it was time for her to find a new one. Her mom got pretty creative with having her try out different types of little boats.
She had a Finding Nemo-inspired floaty boat, but that wasn't a good fit because Peaches might accidentally puncture it with her her mom gave her a Tupperware bowl boat wrapped in a cling film. However, this one was no good because Peaches kept trying to eat the plastic.
Her mom also gave her a dual pool noodle boat made out of two floaty pool noodles, which is actually pretty solid.
But in the end, her mom decided that the best boat for Peaches would be another, larger Tupperware bowl. And judging by the footage in the video, it's the one that Peaches seems to be the most comfortable and relaxed in.
As much as our feline companions are very clean animals, as any pet parent will tell you, they lick themselves constantly, sometimes giving them a bath is still necessary.
For example, a cat could knock something over in the kitchen, which creates a mess and makes them dirty. Or maybe a feline got tangled up with a skunk, has fleas, or recently got diarrhea, and some good old-fashioned scrubbing with soap and water is in order.
However, before attempting to bathe your feline companion is important to consider their personality and preferences when it comes to water. Some cats love and are fascinated by water, while others are far less enamored with getting wet.
For cats that don't mind the water, a shower or bathtub with a small grip mat for the cat to stand on is probably okay. But when it comes to cats that do not like the water, using a sink might be better.
There's a good chance that a cat that does not like water will try to get away, and since sinks are tighter spaces, it will be easier to control them while you are trying to give them a bath.
Peaches clearly enjoys the water. Although, it appears that she enjoys being on the water more than actually being in it. There is a good chance that she finds the gentle rocking of her little 'boat' on the water to be very soothing.
In many ways, this is probably like a relaxing spa day for her. But, whatever it is for her, what matters is that she enjoys it. We just hope that she enjoys her little boat as much as we enjoyed watching this cute video.
