Hoover City Schools seniors recognized for character
HOOVER, Ala. (WIAT) — Hoover City Schools recognized some graduating seniors for good character Monday.
The school system honored 68 students from Hoover and Spain Park high schools at the Finley Award Senior Nominees' Breakfast. Faculty and staff nominated these students who they said have exemplified integrity, kindness and perseverance over the past four years.

'In Hoover City Schools, we know that character will take them far in life,' said Chris Robbins, the chief learning officer of Hoover City Schools. 'We want them to move into the college and career world as students and people and adults of character. We want them to show hard work as they move into the next season of life.'
The Finley Committee will review the nominees and select one senior from each high school as Finely Award recipients. The Finley Awards Recognition Program will be held at 6 p.m. March 20 in the Finley Center.
