Canandaigua Fire & Ice festival takes over Main Street
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) — The slight warmup on Saturday (and dare I say, sunshine?) was enough to get folks out of the house to Canandaigua for its annual Fire and Ice Winter Festival!
The festival is held each winter, featuring ice carving competitions and fire shows. There was plenty of food and drink options from local businesses, and activities for the whole family to enjoy, including horse and wagon rides, and a small petting zoo of sorts.
Canandaigua's Fire & Ice Festival runs events again Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., according to the itinerary on its website.
People we spoke with said it's a tradition on Main Street folks look forward to each year.
'The wintertime – it's hard to get out and about, but things like this make it easy for us to be able to enjoy the sun that is coming out today – and just explore,' said Selena, who traveled in from Hornel.
