The power company says it is continuing to invest in the state's power grid by installing smart devices that can be controlled remotely. This allows Georgia Power operations teams to reroute power and isolate issues and results in fewer customers being affected by power outages.
Georgia Power is also encouraging customers to take proactive measures to protect their families and homes.
