Anshuman Jha has confirmed Lakadbaggha 3 as he plans Bollywood's first shoot in Chile after meeting the President Of Chile - His Excellency Gabriel Boric Font.
After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Delhi, the President of Chile, Gabriel Boric Font, made a quick visit to Mumbai. During his trip, he met with actor and filmmaker Anshuman Jha, along with Chile's Minister of Culture and Arts, Carolina Arredondo. The meeting focused on how Chile's beautiful culture and landscapes could be shown on screen through Bollywood films, especially with Jha's production house, First Ray Films.
Anshuman, who just finished shooting Lakadbaggha 2 in Indonesia (the first officially sanctioned Indian film shot there), is now thinking of filming Lakadbaggha 3 in Chile—making it Bollywood's first project in the country.
Sharing his thoughts on the meeting, Anshuman said:
'I come from theatre so any cultural exchange through the arts is an exciting endeavour. With so many divisive elements in the world, it is great to meet a leader of a nation who wants to encourage exchange & unity through the arts. It was an honour to meet his excellency President Gabril Boric Font & I truly hope we help his vision of bringing the beauty of Chile to the world through our cinema."
The Chilean delegation also visited YRF Studios. There's already talk about Pathaan 2 and Lakadbaggha 3 being shot in Chile next year.
Lakadbaggha is a 2023 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film directed by Victor Mukherjee, written by Alok Sharma and produced by First Ray Films. It starred Anshuman Jha, Riddhi Dogra, Paresh Pahuja and Milind Soman. The film was released on January 13, 2023, and had its European premiere as an official selection at the 20th Indisches International Film Festival at Stuttgart Germany in July 2023.
The story followed Arjun Bakshi, a martial arts trainer with a soft spot for animals. He turns into a vigilante when his beloved dog Shanku goes missing. While searching for him, Arjun stumbles upon a rare Indian black-striped hyena and uncovers a dangerous illegal animal trade operating in Kolkata. The racket is run by Aryan—who also happens to be the brother of Crime Branch officer Akshara D'Souza.
