What to do in the Bay Area March 21-23
The weekend has arrived and with it a variety of fun activities to do. Here are our picks:
Friday
🎶 Jan Blomqvist live: The Berlin-based electronic music performer known for his Burning Man sets will be performing in San Francisco.
10pm at 1015 Folsom. Tickets start at $35.
🎉 Financial District block party: Live music, pickleball, food trucks and more await at this festive event at The Crossing at East Cut.
5pm- 2am at The Crossing at East Cut at 250 Main St.
Saturday
🎊 Rooftop Holi Music Festival: Dress in white and prepare to get drenched in bursts of color to celebrate the Hindu spring Festival of Colors, featuring live music, a photo booth and cash bar.
Noon- 5pm at SVN West at 10 Van Ness Ave. Tickets start at $25.
🌷 Flower Bulb Day : Pick your own bunch of tulips from the 80,000 flowers on display in Union Square.
1- 4.30pm at 333 Post St.
⛵ SailGP: The annual competition, which takes place both Saturday and Sunday, showcases the world's best sailors racing across the Bay at speeds of 60mph or more in high-tech hydrofoil yachts.
1-5pm both days at the Yacht Club Peninsula at 911 Marina Blvd. Tickets start at $80.
Sunday
4- 7pm at 288 9th Ave in Oakland. $7 suggested donation.
🧅 Catalan-style Calçotada Party: Attend a long-celebrated Catalan tradition centered around "calçots," a sweet green onion typically served with romesco sauce, that doubles as El Lopo's sixth anniversary party.
