Urgent food warning for Irish as popular ham, bread & cakes sold in Dunnes Stores, SuperValu & Tesco recalled
AN URGENT warning has been issued to thousands of Irish shoppers after three popular grocery products were pulled off the shelves over health concerns.
Although the affected products should not be on sale in shops across the country anymore, the items may be sitting in people's kitchen's.

The affected batch has a batch code of 132277 with a use-by date of 16/05/2025.
Another recall alert has been issued for Donnybrook Fair Banana Bread 250g, regarding the undeclared presence of walnuts.
The affected batch of banana bread has been mislabeled as it is a carrot cake, which has ingredients of walnuts.

This may make the product unsafe for consumers who are allergic to walnuts, and they have been urged not to eat the product.

The batch code of the affected batch is 118 and comes with a use-by date of 07/05/2025.
Lastly, the FSAI has issued a recall alert for Matt Reilly Cakes Iced Jam Bakes 320g.
They revealed that wheat (gluten) is not declared on the ingredients list of the product.
This makes it unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of cereals containing gluten.
They have been advised not to consume the affected product.
The recall applies to all batches and all best-before dates that have 'flour' in the ingredients list without emphasising the allergen.
Customers with any of the affected batches are urged to bring them back to their local stores for a refund or a replacement.
