Elsa Pataky goes barefoot and bare faced in Byron Bay as she catches up with a friend for matcha at a cafe wearing tiny sports shorts

Elsa Pataky was caught barefoot and bare faced on Wednesday when she made a mad dash out of a cafe after catching up with a friend in Byron Bay. The Spanish actress, 48, who is married to Hollywood star Chris Hemsworth, flaunted her genetically blessed visage as she opted out of makeup for the occasion. And she was also seen going without shoes as she proved herself a bona fide Aussie while dodging puddles in the gravel carpark of The Roadhouse with her bare feet. The model looked fresh faced as she donned a casual, sporty look, slipping on a pair of $240 Nagnata short-shorts. She paired the tiny piece of clothing with a beige sweater over a black polo shirt to protect herself against the cold weather. Elsa finished her look by pulling her blonde tresses back into a neat bun. The Fast & Furious franchise star was all smiles as she caught up with her friend. Though at one point she appeared mortified as she recounted a story in an animated manner, covering her face with her hands as she laughed. As she did, she flashed two gold rings as well as the tattoos covering the back of her hand. Her outing comes after fans went crazy over the ritzy Byron Bay pad Elsa shares with her husband Chris, 41, and children—India Rose, 13, and twins Sasha and Tristan, 11. The couple, who purchased the 4.2 hectare estate back in 2014, have since built a state of the art mansion on the land worth $50 million that locals dub 'Fortress Hemsworth' according to The luxury home boasts stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, six sizeable bedrooms, indoor and outdoor gymnasiums, a media room, a spa and even has a bowling alley. But, despite all of the property's lavish amenities, it's the Hemsworths' sprawling swimming pool that has everyone talking. At 50 metres long, the infinity pool is Olympic length and, according to fans of the couple, 'goes on forever'. Fans point out wild detail in photos of Elsa Pataky and Chris Hemsworth's $50m Byron Bay home

Fans are going crazy over Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky 's Byron Bay pad - and here's why. So much so that in some pictures, it's hard to tell where the pool ends and the ocean starts. Whats even more gobsmacking is the price of the pool, which is estimated to have cost as much as $500,000 to build. In March, Elsa revealed that the decision to relocate to Australia with husband Chris was all about regaining perspective. Speaking to News Corp, Elsa, 48, said that the couple found Los Angeles, where they were residing previously, too 'restricting'. 'When you're in Los Angeles, work suffocates you,' she said. She added that Byron Bay was far removed from the constant industry chatter that plagues the City Of Angels. 'There, all the conversations, even the billboards you see on the street, have to do with the world of cinema and its industry,' she said. She continued: 'It can make you lose perspective.' It was a sentiment that Hemsworth, 41, shared in an interview with Modern Luxury back in 2020. 'I love what I do as an actor, but when you are surrounded by it constantly, it becomes a bit suffocating' he said. 'It's nice to have conversations with people and be a part of a community that doesn't live and breathe that world.' Hemsworth added that Byron Bay provided a calmer environment in which to raise children India 12, and twin boys Sasha and Tristan, 10. 'L.A. is a tough place to get around with kids. There's not a whole lot of foot traffic. It was all about loading up the car and car seats,' he said. 'Here, we just walk out the door and head to the beach down the street. It's a much more simple life.' The couple completed their mega-mansion in 2021, and the monolithic home skyrocketed in price since the family moved in. Originally estimated at $20million, property experts said at the time the LA-style compound, located in Broken Head near Byron Bay, was worth an eye-watering $30million. More recent valuations had placed the pad at $50million. The property features six bedrooms, a spa, games and media rooms as well as sprawling outdoor living areas.

Bizarre feature of Chris Hemsworth's $50m Byron Bay home

When you're a Hollywood star with millions to spend on a home you can pretty much build what you want, but one aspect of Chris Hemsworth's $50m Byron Bay pad is blowing the minds of eagle-eyed fans. 'Fortress Hemsworth' as locals have taken to calling the home, the film family began planning when they bought a massive 4.2ha estate in 2014, has garnered headlines for a myriad of reasons. And why wouldn't it? A state-of-the-art home valued at as much as $50m, according to recent evaluations, sitting in one of the most sought-after regional locations on the planet that boasts an almost unrivalled laid-back lifestyle with privacy and seclusion. The home took three years to build and boasts eye-popping district views – all the way to the Pacific Ocean, six bedrooms, a media room, indoor and outdoor gyms, a spa, games area, a bowling alley and ample outdoor space. But it's the home's peerless 50m infinity pool which is proving to be the biggest talking point. At 50m long, the pool is obviously Olympic length compared to the 10m-12m pond most of us mere mortals who are lucky enough to have a pool to call our own, have. However it's another aspect of the resort-like luxury pool that fans of Chris and his wife Elsa are raving about. According to the couple's followers on social media, the pool 'goes on forever' and looking at the pics posted it certainly seems to be the case, at least in some images, that the pool extends all the way into the ocean. Like many Aussie families, the pool deck and its surrounds are at the focal point of entertaining, especially during the warmer months and the Hemsworths have posted plenty of pool porn pics on their social media accounts to display the 50m stunner, that certainly lives up to the moniker – infinity -. In the pictures, the Hemsworths feature their contemporary kitchen, which features plenty of white, beige and grey tones with wooden accents, then leads out into a large dining space that extends seamlessly onto the outdoor pool terrace which boasts incredible area views and a panorama of the Pacific Ocean in the distance. In some pics it's hard to work out where the pool ends and the ocean starts, which makes the luxury oasis the perfect place to soak up some rays. It's estimated the pool could have cost as much as $500,000 to build. In a recent interview with Hello Magazine, Elsa gave a rare insight into the family life of the celebrity couple, and the outdoors is very much a part of it. 'We're all very sporty,' she said. 'At home in Byron Bay, Chris and I love to take the kids surfing, riding or walking our dogs along the beach.' Then they get to go back to the pool and just soak up the good life.
