Anna Jarvis Museum hosting special events for Mother's Day Weekend
GRAFTON, (WBOY) — The Anna Jarvis Museum is putting on some special events to celebrate Mother's Day.
Anna Jarvis was the founder of Mother's Day and a native to Taylor County. Her birthplace is now a museum, and over the weekend as part of the Mother's Day Founders Festival, it will be having special hours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday for people interested in learning about Jarvis.
Major charities in Morgantown merge to better serve public
On Saturday the museum hosted a ceremony to celebrate a local mother, Amanda Sharp, who is the mother of three adopted kids with needs.
You can go back to the 1800s and catch a glimpse of Anna Jarvis's life anytime the museum is open for a price of five dollars. Children under 12 get in free.
