Jun. 1—FOUNTAIN TOWNSHIP, Minn. — A truck driver struck multiple cows on Minnesota Highway 16 early morning Saturday, May 31, 2025, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. According to the state patrol crash report, James Brian Gregoire, 57, of Ivanhoe, Minn., was driving a Volvo semi truck west on Highway 16 in Fountain Township in Fillmore County when he struck cows that had wandered onto the roadway. Gregoire was taken to Saint Marys Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Multiple cows were killed in the collision, according to the report. The Preston Fire Department and Lanesboro EMS also responded to the crash.
