Frankie Jacobs, KODE radio alum and avid golfer, passes at 76
JOPLIN, Mo. — We'd like to take a moment to say goodbye to a long time station employee, friend, and avid Four State golfer.
Our very own Frankie Jacobs passed away at 76 on Tuesday following a brief illness.
Frankie worked at KODE Radio in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He then went to work in Tulsa, Springfield and Yuma, Arizona. Frankie returned to Joplin, taking a job at KODE in the early 1990s.
By 1994, he settled in at KSN and worked here for nearly three decades.
We will always remember Frankie for his infectious laugh, and winning golf game, and I'll always remember the way he smiled no matter what else was happening.
Frankie had a deep love for animals, especially his cats who he left behind.
