Jordan Road bridge over I-90 to close in Harborcreek. Here are detour details

Traffic will be detoured from the Jordan Road bridge over Interstate 90 in Harborcreek beginning this month. The bridge will be demolished and replaced this year in a $5.2 million project. Interstate lanes will be closed at night once construction begins. Preliminary work will begin on Monday. The bridge is just south of Interstate 90 and carries about 850 vehicles daily. That traffic will be detoured onto Kuhl Road, Knowledge Parkway and Station Road beginning March 31. Lanes on the interstate below the bridge will be closed at night as the existing bridge is demolished and beams are placed for the new bridge. Electronic message signs will alert drivers. Drivers may encounter the lane closings between the Hammett/Parade Street and Wesleyville/Bayfront Connector exits Sundays through Fridays between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. beginning Monday. The new bridge is expected to be completed by December. Please enable Javascript to view this content. The existing bridge was built with the interstate in 1958 and is rated in poor condition.
