Police looking for man with dementia missing from Stanton
STANTON, Mich. (WOOD) — Troopers are asking the public for help searching for an 81-year-old man with dementia.
Francis Joseph Smith was last seen leaving his Stanton home around 3:45 p.m. Wednesday to go to an appointment but he did not return home, according to Michigan State Police.
Smith stands 5 feet, 8 inches and weighs about 238 pounds. He has short gray hair and blue eyes and was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes and possibly a blue and green button-up flannel, according to MSP. He is driving a dark blue 2015 Nissan Rogue with Michigan license plate CGD928.
Smith has dementia and needs medication he does not have, troopers said.
