Viktor Gyokeres transfer news – next club odds: Arsenal and Chelsea lead Man Utd for Sporting star

ARSENAL and Chelsea head the betting markets to be the next club of Swedish sensation Viktor Gyokeres. The Sporting striker is hot property after another dazzling season in front of goal, with the Gunners leading the way for his signature as they finally look to sort their centre forward woes. Gyokeres, 26, averaged MORE than a goal per game across all competitions this season, notching a huge 54 goals in 52 games. The latest terrific season took his Sporting tally to 97 goals in 102 games in the green and white hoops, since his £24million move from Coventry in the summer of 2023. Perhaps most notably is his six goals in eight games in the Champions League, plus five scored in nine Europa League appearances, showing he can do it on the biggest stage. Sporting vice-president Francisco Salgado Zenha says the club ARE willing to listen to offers for their star man but insists they will only sell if the price is right. He said: 'He has three more years on his contract. At the moment there are no offers, he has three more years on his contract. "I think the answer has been given. We want to keep the best players and retain talent. Viktor Gyokeres next club odds Odds from bet365 Arsenal 11/10 Chelsea 2/1 Atletico Madrid 8/1 Liverpool 8/1 Juventus 10/1 Man Utd 10/1 Barcelona 10/1 Sporting 12/1 PSG 25/1 Napoli 25/1 33/1 bar 'Coincidence or not, we have not had to sell any players in those times. Not that we have not received offers, but the market is not under our control, we are always dependent.' , while contract offers have been sent to his agent after meeting at the women's Champions League final last weekend. Whether that's true or not, the Gunners are desperate for a goalscoring number nine if they're to be taken seriously as contenders for ANY trophy next season. And the bookmakers fancy them to get this one over the line, with bet365 pricing them up as the 11/10 market leaders to be his club after the summer. While Chelsea - who themselves have issues at centre forward - aren't a million miles behind as the 2/1 second favourites. Atletico Madrid and Liverpool are then back on 8/1, with Juventus, Man Utd and Barcelona at 10s. A move certainly seems inevitable this summer, so much so he's a massive 12/1 to remain at Sporting beyond the summer window! Arsenal: Sporting chief confirms Viktor Gyokeres 'answer' amid £59m bid reports

Sporting vice-president Francisco Salgado Zenha says the club are yet to receive any offers for Viktor Gyokeres and will not be strong-armed into selling their best players. Gyokeres is attracting plenty of interest this summer, including from Arsenal, after scoring over 50 goals last season. Manchester United have also been credited with an interest in the 26-year-old, who is expected to be on the move when the transfer window opens. Sporting vice-president Zenha, however, has stressed how they are under no financial pressure to sell and no offers have been made for Gyokeres yet. 'He has three more years on his contract,' Zenha told reporters in Portugal. 'At the moment there are no offers, he has three more years on his contract. I think the answer has been given. '[Sporting's transfer plans] won't be any different from last year. We want to keep the best players and retain talent. We want to continue to be champions, have competitive teams and fight on all fronts. 'I have been in this role for seven years. In the years when Sporting were champions, we even made fewer sales than in other years ... the fact that we are champions gives us a greater ability to retain players and talent. 'Coincidence or not, we have not had to sell any players in those times. Not that we have not received offers, but the market is not under our control, we are always dependent.' It is thought that Gyokeres could be snapped up this summer for around £60million and the striker was coy on his future when pressed on it last week. 'We'll see, it's football, you never know what can happen, it's impossible to say anything for sure,' he said. 'I don't know anything, I tried to focus on the last few games, if something is true we'll see.'
