'We have to be robust'
Coventry City have to brush off any setbacks in their pursuit of a Championship play-off place, according to head coach Frank Sky Blues have pushed themselves into sixth position in the table after a fine run but their five-game winning streak came to an end in a 2-0 loss at Derby on Tuesday."It happens in football, we've been on an amazing run and it's important we realise what we've been doing," Lampard told BBC CWR."I've been in this situation, specifically in the Championship, played a lot of years and managed in the Premier League, the Champions League - you take hits along the way and being robust in these moments is par for the course."Coventry were just one point above the relegation zone when the former Chelsea boss took over in November and he admits their progress has surprised even him."I'd have settled to be in the top 12 when I came in," added Lampard, whose side face fourth-placed Sunderland on Saturday (15:00 GMT)."That's where we were looking so to get to where we are is a great thing and we have to reset a little with our mindset and thought process."Will we stay in the play-offs all the way to the end? Who knows, maybe not, but can we keep fighting to get in there? For sure."

Coventry must feed off their momentum
Coventry City must take full advantage of their good form, says head coach Frank Sky Blues have won five of their past six Championship matches to move within three points of the play-off places and one of this weekend's opponents, Sheffield Wednesday."You must feed off it [momentum] because it is a thing, and there will be moments where you're not in that period," Lampard told BBC CWR."But it's also good to keep a check on that and realise we are going to a team who are above us in the league for a reason, so we have to go clean slate again, remember the good things we are doing, but also the things we can improve on."Coventry are up to a season-high 10th place in the Championship table, and Lampard believes it is a reflection of their improvement."The table is normally a reality after this many games in the season, but we have to understand when people get excited about the play-offs, then you take a breath and look at the table and realise so many teams are all around us - when you look at the fixture list, nothing is easy."Lampard has also been boosted by the return to training of leading scorer Haji Wright, who is yet to feature under the former Chelsea boss because of an ankle injury that has kept him out since early November."It's early days, so don't get excited, but he's back on the pitch with us, taking part in training but coming out of parts of training to get fitness."It's important we get him right and ready and firing to come back in, so it's great to have him back in the mix."

Coventry have to be 'spot on' against Ipswich
Coventry City will have to be 'spot on' with their preparation for their FA Cup fourth round tie against Ipswich Town, says head coach Frank 1987 cup winners reached the semi-finals last season before losing a dramatic game against Manchester United on penalties. "In terms of our preparation, the details have to be spot on, we try to do that every game but more so against Premier League teams because you know they have the strength and weapons to hurt you," Lampard told BBC CWR."They have the physical capacities in the Premier League where you compare and go can we match it?"Those are good markers for us as coaching staff to look at us to see where we are at compared to a Premier League team."Ipswich made 10 changes to their team for the third-round win over Bristol Rovers but have not played a game since last Saturday, while the Sky Blues were beaten by Championship leaders Leeds on Wednesday and host Queens Park Rangers next Tuesday."They're a strong squad and we just have to approach the game expecting the strongest team, expecting whatever changes they make keeps them as strong."Coventry made just one signing during the January transfer window with the addition of midfielder Matt Grimes from Swansea but he is not eligible for the Ipswich game having featured for the Welsh side in the third round."We haven't got the biggest squad so some players who haven't had as many minutes will get opportunities."Cup runs are good for confidence - we'd like to think we want to win every game we play and I'm not going in with any other thought than trying to win the game to get to the next round," Lampard added.
