Rocky Mount Police and Franklin County DSS promote child abuse prevention
ROCKY MOUNT, Va. (WFXR) – The Rocky Mount Police Department and the Franklin County Department of Social Services are bringing awareness to April being Child Abuse Prevention Month.
Across the Town of Rocky Mount, residents will see blue pinwheels spinning in the breeze representing hope, resilience, and the commitment to protecting children from neglect or abuse.
Covington Middle School relocates students over strange odor
Each pinwheel across the town is to remind everyone that children deserve a safe, happy, and healthy childhood.
The Rocky Mount Police Department wants to take action to prevent child abuse, and to join in on their efforts, you can do the following:
Wearing blue to show support
If you see something, say something, and report it.
Be a positive influence on a child's life.
Keep children in each community safe.
