Ford recalls more than 37,000 vehicles. Check car recalls and Bucks County dealers here
Ford is recalling more than 37,000 vehicles, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. For a complete list of recalled vehicles or to see if your car needs repairs, check the NHTSA website. Ford is recalling 33,576 2020-2022 Escape and 2021-2023 Bronco Sport vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall numbers 22V-859 or 24V-187. A fuel injector may crack and leak fuel inside the engine compartment. Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed on April 24. Owners may contact Ford customer service at 1-866-436-7332. Ford's number for this recall is 25S21. Ford is also recalling 4,247 2020-2022 Explorer vehicles previously repaired incorrectly under recall numbers 23V-199 or 22V-255. The rear axle horizontal mounting bolt may fracture and cause the driveshaft to disconnect. Dealers will update the powertrain control module software, free of charge. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration issued multiple recalls last week, including notices for over 175,000 2024 to 2025 Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport vehicles. Potting material in the lamps did not correctly adhere to the wire terminals in the lamps, potentially causing gaps or cracks where water or conductive fluid could penetrate to the lamp's circuit board − according to the recall report. Also, short detection parameters were not updated from the previous model's incandescent lamps. Dealers are to disconnect the lamps free of charge and owner notification letters are to be sent March 24. The crossover could have a front axle half shaft that may disconnect from the transmission, which can result in a loss of drive power − according to the NHTSA. A software error may cause a towed trailer equipped with an electric or electric-over hydraulic brake system to not brake.
