Garrick on the bite
Garrick and shad are on the bite, according to shore line fishing gurus.
Freddie Buys caught a garrick on rapala on Margate Pier this week.
There were some good catches of shad at Umtentweni, Orange Rocks and Margate Pier last week.
Stompie Koekemoer from KZN Fishing Guides said after the windy conditions this Wednesday, the weekend might bring some good fishing. 'We can look forward to more shad towards the end of May as the water temperature will be much colder,' he said.
Also, there were reports of a small shoals of sardines in the Eastern Cape on Monday this week.
