One person killed from gunshot wounds in a west Charlotte parking lot: CMPD
CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person is dead after being shot in a parking lot in west Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
Around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the 2400 block of Freedom Drive about an assault with a deadly weapon.
When they arrived, they found one person with gunshot wounds in a parking lot. The victim was pronounced dead by Medic, officials said.
Police have not said what led to the shooting or if anyone is in custody. Anyone with information should contact CMPD at 704-432-8477 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
