Friday After Five 2025 lineup announced
OWENSBORO, Ky. (WEHT) — In Owensboro, it's almost time for Friday After Five. The event is nights spent by the river, food trucks and live music. The official line-up for the 2023 season has been announced. Opening weekend kicks off on May 16. They'll kick off with a hometown favorite: The Velvet Bombers. One member of the opening weekend band, Josh O'Brien, helped the group Galactic Foghorn — perform before the line up announcement on Monday. While the Velvet Bombers take the main stage, Roulette will take the Overlook Stage. The 11 nights will include musical entertainment ranging from classic rock to rhythm and blues. Around 30 artists were announced including The Crashers, Cam Thompson, and even newer faces like country artist Ashland Craft. Craft is set to go on tour with Luke Bryan in May. Officials say they are working hard to nurture the audience they've already captured, while making room for a new one. 'We brought in Kid G last year who got his break on Tik Tok. The Jack Wharf Band. They got a big break on Tik Tok and that really appeals to that 18 to 25-year-old young adult crowd. We're really making a strategic move to incorporate younger adults,' says Heath Eric of the Eric Group. The group helps select talent for the event. The Jack Wharf Band is set perform on June 6th. Officials predict around 15,000 people will pour into the downtown area every weekend through August 1. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
