Fujairah Crown Prince graces Monodrama Festival
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, affirmed the leading position of the Emirate of Fujairah in the field of culture and arts, and its important role in supporting theatre in general, and the art of monodrama in particular. Sheikh Mohammed made the statements while attending the opening ceremony of the Fujairah International Monodrama Festival, held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamad Bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah at the Fujairah Creative Center Theatre. The Crown Prince of Fujairah highlighted the Emirate's commitment to supporting artistic initiatives that enhance the emirate's presence on both the Arab and global stage, through cultural openness to various creative experiences and the promotion of shared human values among all peoples of the world. Earlier, a delegation from Egypt's National Media Authority and Maspero Television toured the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority to review the ongoing modernisation and development efforts. These include upgrades to studios, filming equipment, and broadcasting systems aligned with the demands of the digital media era and evolving communication trends. The visit was led by Ahmed Al-Muslimani, Chairman of the Egypt's National Media Authority, and renowned media figure Naela Farouk, head of the Egyptian Television Sector. They were received by Nasser Al Yamahi, Executive Director of the Fujairah Culture and Media Authority. Al Yamahi guided the Egyptian delegation through the radio and television studios, offering a comprehensive overview of the technical upgrades and improvements. The delegation was briefed on the secure and high-quality transmission of digital media content across both radio and television platforms. Al-Muslimani praised the technical standards, production quality, and media talent at Fujairah TV and Radio, as well as Zayed Radio For Qura'an. "Waiting Station" is scheduled for performance on 15 April. The production is rooted in the art of pantomime, delivering a profound and human experience that captures the emotions of waiting and the psychological pressures of daily life. Relying solely on visual expression and body language—with no spoken dialogue—the show is performed by Abdullah Mohammed Saleh, affiliated with the Sharjah Capacity Building Foundation. Showcasing talent on an international stage This participation provides an excellent opportunity for Rub' Qarn members to showcase their abilities and creativity to a discerning audience of Arab and worldwide theatre practitioners, critics, and artists. In a language that goes beyond words, the performers are able to showcase their creative abilities in a sophisticated artistic setting made possible by the performance.
