Singer and Strictly star heading to Dudley for intimate evening
TWO renowned singers have announced they will be stopping off in Dudley for two intimate shows, getting up close and personal with fans. Huey Morgan – frontman of Fun Lovin' Criminals and host of The Huey Show on BBC Radio 6 – will bring his show, The Fun Lovin' Criminal: An Evening of Music and Conversation, to Dudley Town Hall in 2026. Coming to prominence as a driving force of the eclectic American Rap/Rock outfit Fun Lovin' Criminals, Morgan led the band from 1993 untill 2021, best known for their hit record Scooby Snacks. As host of The Huey Show on BBC Radio 6 since 2008, Morgan is a cherished voice on national radio in the UK, where he hosts a mix of Hip Hop, Soul, Punk, Funk, Rock and everything in between for his listeners. Fans will be able to get "up close and personal" with Huey on Friday, April 10, next year. Meanwhile, Toyah – dubbed the High Priestess of Punk – is also to bring her show, Songs and Stories, to Stourbridge Town Hall in 2026. A singer and actor, a TV host and author, a BRIT Award winner and recently a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing - Toyah has worn many hats during a remarkable career spanning more than 50 years. Her role in Quadrophenia made her a household name and, soon after, she gate-crashed the charts with It's A Mystery, I Want To Be Free, and Thunder In The Mountains, as the album, Anthem, earned a gold disc, and BRIT Award Best Female as well as a BRIT Nomination for British Breakthrough Act. The "intimate" show will feature hit songs and stories from a showbiz career spanning over half a century and will be hitting the stage of Stourbridge on Friday, May 1, 2026. Offlimits Festival: Who's headlining the inaugural event in Abu Dhabi?
Abu Dhabi has long been known for hosting some of the world's biggest stars. The Offlimits Music Festival, which will debut on 26 April at Etihad Park, will welcome an electrifying lineup of artists. While several names have already been announced, the entire roster, featuring some of the biggest acts from across the world, has now been revealed. UK-born twin brothers Michael and Lukas Fernandes-Pense, collectively known as Altego, have transformed into a global phenomenon with their DJing skills. Amassing over 156 million streams and over four billion TikTok views, their set promises to bring high-energy beats to the capital. Representing the electronic music scene, Ukrainian duo ARTBAT is known for their techno beats. With tracks like Horizon , Mandrake , and Uplift , as well as performances at major festivals worldwide, expect an unforgettable set in Abu Dhabi as well. Ed Sheeran needs no introduction. With his soulful lyrics and heartfelt melodies, he has captivated audiences worldwide. Known for hits like Bad Habits , Shape of You and Thinking Out Loud , his headlining performance at Offlimits Music Festival will be nothing short of magical. Faithless has been influential in the music since the 90s, with tracks like God Is a DJ and Insomnia becoming fan favourites. Known as the pioneers of EDM, they will bring their mix of house, trance, and trip-hop to Abu Dhabi. Like Faithless, Fun Lovin' Criminals have also carved out a niche for themselves since the 90s. Known for their breakout track, Scooby Snacks , the band brings groovy rhythms and engaging banter, promising a fun-filled set to get the crowd moving. Hailing from England, Kaiser Chiefs will bring singalong hits like I Predict a Riot and Ruby to the OffLimits Music Festival. They've become a staple in the British rock scene, and their upcoming performance in Abu Dhabi promises to have the crowd on their feet. Dubai's very own Mr Levier brings a fusion of house, electronic, and dance anthems to the stage. Whether he's dropping a classic house banger or introducing the audience to a fresh track, Mister Levier's performance at Offlimits Music Festival will be a sonic journey. Bringing their anthemic pop-rock sound to Abu Dhabi, OneRepublic is set to deliver an electrifying show. Frontman Ryan Tedder's powerful vocals and the band's massive hits like Apologise and Counting Stars make them a must-see headlining act at the festival. Iranian-Dutch artist Sevdaliza brings her blend of alternative R&B, electronic, and experimental sounds to the Offlimits Music Festival. With her hit tracks, such as Human and Marilyn Monroe , Sevdaliza is sure to wow the crowd. Palestinian-Jordanian pop singer Zeyne promises to blend Middle Eastern influences with contemporary pop, creating a unique sound. Fun Lovin' Criminals legend reveals gig in our area!
THE former frontman of a rap rock group is set to make a return to live music in 2025 with a UK tour stopping in Bristol. Huey Morgan, the formerly of Fun Lovin' Criminals, along with his new band, Huey Morgan: The Fun Lovin' Criminal, perform a mixture of the band's classics and new music. The songs set to feature in the setlist include Scooby Snacks, The Fun Lovin' Criminals, King of New York, Big Night Out, Love Unlimited, Loco, and Couldn't Get It Right. Looking ahead to the tour, Morgan said: "After almost four years, I'm returning to what I've loved all my life; playing cool authentic music for cool authentic people." Introducing his new band, Morgan said: "The guys in the band consist of Mateo DiFontaine, who was one of the original members of Fun Lovin' Criminals. "He's on keys, turntables and lap steel guitar. "One of my oldest friends and the godfather to my children who is simply called 'King' is a singer in the Tangiers Blues Band, a group I founded in the late 1990s as a side gig with some friends in NYC. "He's on bass guitar and wisecracks." Morgan also praised the new members of his band. He said: "The new cats are tremendous additions to the vibe we bring to the live shows. "Leon James on the trap kit is bringing taste and flavour to my tunes and his energy on the set we've been putting together is gonna highlight what a dynamic and stylistic drummer he is." Morgan was the frontman of the eclectic American rap/rock outfit from 1993 to 2021. During that time they released six albums and sold over 10 million records across the planet, The band released six albums between 1996 and 2010 and sold more than 10 million records worldwide. Morgan has also enjoyed success as a radio and television broadcaster, author and DJ. He has been the host of The Huey Show on BBC Radio 6 Music since 2008. Morgan will take the O2 Academy Bristol stage on Friday, May 9.
