During the show, she openly flirted with the 'Mysterious Girl' singer, even telling him that her then-partner Scott Sullivan – a millionaire's son whom she had been dating for two years and who reportedly proposed before she entered the jungle – was "a nice guy, but I'm not going to marry him... I know he's not the one."
Scott Sullivan, feeling threatened by Katie's on-screen chemistry with Pete, is said to have considered flying to Australia to confront the singer and 'punch his lights out. '.

Rumours swirled that Katie and Pete's jungle romance was even steamier than what viewers saw, with claims they nearly consummated their relationship on camera. After the series, the pair quickly announced they were 'in love', reports the Mirror.
Katie and Peter tied the knot in a grand £2 million wedding in Hampshire in 2005 and welcomed two children, Junior and Princess, now aged 20 and 17. However, their marriage unravelled, leading to a divorce in 2009.

After being linked to glamour models Jodie Marsh and Bianca Gascoigne, Scott dated former Made In Chelsea star Caggie Dunlop before eventually finding love with Funda Onal, also a former love interest of Spencer Matthews from MIC.
Funda and Scott tied the knot in 2017, with Funda, now 40, announcing her pregnancy a year later. The couple shared a heartfelt photo of Scott kissing her baby bump, captioned "A new family is born."
Funda, a talented model, actor, and dancer, has worked with notable brands including Nike and Adidas and has appeared in music videos by Calvin Harris and Tinie Tempah. She is now likely to be a mother of two daughters, aged around seven and three, based on her social media updates from 2022.
However, the current status of Scott and Funda's relationship remains unclear, with no recent pictures of Scott on her Instagram and vice versa. Meanwhile, Scott, who has posted only one photo of a young girl on his social media in 2020, seems to have moved on and is preparing to welcome another child with his new partner.
Tagging a lady known as Katherine Scott, who has been making appearances on his social media of late, he posted a monochrome photo gazing at her blossoming bump. On the snap from 31 May, he wrote: "A new Soul among us."
Katherine seems to be his significant other, as one follower responded with warm wishes saying: "Such a stunning couple, inside and out."
