Yemeni association for care & rehabilitation of blind celebrates marriage of 88 couples
Sana'a - Saba: The Yemeni Association for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Blind in Sana'a celebrated on Thursday the marriage of 88 couples in the eighth mass wedding for the blind, organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and funded by the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled. During the ceremony, Sultan Al-Samai, a member of the Supreme Political Council, congratulated the newlyweds on completing half of their faith (an Islamic reference to marriage) and entering married life. He described the celebration as a unifying national event, bringing together participants from various Yemeni provinces. Al-Samai emphasized that Yemen will remain united and strong in facing challenges posed by enemies seeking to divide it. He expressed gratitude to the supporters and contributors who made the eighth mass wedding possible, highlighting how the participants proved that disability does not prevent individuals from achieving their aspirations and building family lives. Meanwhile, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Samir Bajjalah congratulated the couples on their marriage and completing half of their faith. He praised all attendees for joining the celebration of the blind couples in their eighth mass wedding and commended the care and support of the Revolution Leader, Sayyed Abdulmalik Badruddin Al-Houthi, in meeting the needs of vulnerable groups. Bajjalah also acknowledged the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled for supporting the blind and organizing the mass wedding, which coincides with Yemen's celebrations of the 35th National Day of the Yemeni Republic (May 22). He called for facilitating marriage and reducing dowry costs to help young people build stable lives. The event was attended by leaders from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, the Capital Secretariat, the Fund for the Care of the Disabled, and various associations. Hamoud Al-Naqeeb, head of the Social Affairs Committee in the Capital Secretariat and honorary president of the association, thanked the Fund and all contributors for organizing the mass wedding for a segment of society deserving of care and attention. He noted that the wedding, held under the slogan "You Are Not Alone – With Gaza Even in Our Joys," reflects the greatness of the Yemeni people in their unity, resilience in confronting aggression , challenges, and their commitment to the nation's causes, including supporting Gaza. For his part, Abdulaziz Balhaj, head of the Yemeni Association for the Care of the Blind, affirmed the association's commitment to continuing efforts to support the blind and ensure their rights to education, employment, and marriage. He thanked the sponsors, contributors, and organizing committees for their role in facilitating the eighth mass wedding and welcoming couples from across Yemen. The ceremony, attended by social leaders, relatives of the couples, and other guests, featured choral performances, traditional heritage segments, and the distribution of gifts provided by the Fund and sponsoring companies. Second Ramadan soccer Championship for Disability Fund's employees concluded
Sana'a - Saba: The second Ramadan football Championship for employees of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, organized by the cultural, sports and social aspect of the Fund, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, concluded in Sana'a on Thursday. Eight sports teams participated in the Championship, which were named after the names of the great martyrs and leaders "Hassan Nasrallah, Martyr Leader, Sinwar, Samad, Ismail Haniyeh, Al Aqsa, the Fund's team, and Al-Quds". The final match was held today between the teams of Martyr al-Sinwar and Hassan Nasrallah, which ended with al-Sinwar winning 6/5 goals; al-Sinwar's goals were scored by Mohammed al-Aghbari three goals, Abdul Rahman al-Khawlani "two goals", and Abdul Hakim Rashid "one goal". The Martyr Sayyid Hassan Nasrallah team's goals were scored by Ayman al-Bahlouli, Muhammad Hamir Dabaan, and Muhammad Shihab al-Khatib, before referee Osama al-Houri announced the end of the match and crowned Sinwar as the champion of the tournament and title holder. After that, the Executive Director of the Fund for the Disabled, Dr. Ali Moghli, his deputy, Othman Al-Salawi, the Fund's Finance Director, Salim Al-Abyad, the representative of the Minister of Social Affairs and Labor, Mohammed Al-Faqih, and the head of the organizing committee of the Championship - the cultural and sports supervisor at the Fund for the Disabled, Majid Al-Nahmi, honored the first place winner "Al-Sinwar Team" and the second place winner "Martyr Hassan Nasrallah Team" with cups, medals and cash prizes. Disabled Care & Rehabilitation Fund's leadership & staff visit martyr leader's tomb
Sa'ada - Saba: The Executive Director of the Fund for the Care and Rehabilitation of the Disabled, Dr. Ali Moghli, and his deputy, Othman Al-Salawi, along with a number of department directors and department heads, visited on Saturday the mausoleum of the martyr leader Sayyid Hussein Badr al-Din al-Houthi in Maran area, Haidan district in Sa'ada province. They also visited the mausoleum of martyrs Zaid and Abdullah Ali Musleh, a number of leading martyrs, and read al-Fatiha on their souls, recalling their great sacrifices in the face of the forces of injustice and oppression. Visitors renewed their pledge to God, His Messenger and the martyr leader to continue to fulfill their humanitarian mission towards people with disabilities and contribute to building a more equitable , just society, guided by the values of sacrifice and steadfastness established by the martyrs.
