G-DRAGON's team denies dating rumours with TWICE's Sana, sparking fan backlash: 'Nobody even thought about it'
BIGBANG's G-DRAGON and TWICE's Sana have recently found themselves at the center of unexpected dating rumours — and fans aren't taking it lightly. The speculation started after a teaser was released for Sana's variety show "Dex and Sana's Fridge Interview", revealing G-DRAGON as an upcoming guest.
But what truly stunned fans was not the rumour itself — as such talks keep happening in the K-pop world — but G-DRAGON's agency's decision to issue a clarification — for something many say didn't even exist.
Where did the rumour come from?
On May 30, a teaser trailer for Fridge Interview was dropped, titled "G-DRAGON Came to Hang Out with Two Girls," showing the Bang Bang Bang singer joining Dex and Sana. The playful title and the rare appearance of G-DRAGON on variety TV led to increased chatter online, though nothing substantial pointed to any romantic involvement.
However, things took a strange turn when G-DRAGON's agency released a formal statement denying any dating relationship between him and Sana — a move that left many scratching their heads.
Agency denies dating speculation
G-DRAGON's team clarified that he agreed to film the show out of friendship with Dex, not because of Sana. They added that Sana's participation was confirmed only a day before the filming, and emphasized that there were no romantic feelings between the two stars.
"G-DRAGON filmed Dex and Sana's Fridge Interview on April 14, the day after the final broadcast of MBC's Good Day. On April 22, TWICE performed as a special guest at Coldplay's concert in Korea."

Fans question the need to address the rumour
The statement, instead of clarifying things, left fans more confused. Many TWICE fans, known as ONCE, expressed disbelief that the dating rumour was even a thing — and questioned the agency's decision to issue a statement.
