Michigan at Nebraska odds, picks and predictions

The No. 12 Michigan Wolverines (20-6, 12-3 Big Ten) and the Nebraska Cornhuskers (17-10, 7-9) meet Monday at Pinnacle Bank Arena in Lincoln. Tip-off is scheduled for 8 p.m. ET (FS1). Let's analyze BetMGM Sportsbook's college basketball odds around the Michigan vs. Nebraska odds, and make our expert college basketball picks and predictions. The Wolverines were upended 75-62 at home by the rival Michigan State Spartans Friday, surrendering first place in the conference as a result. C Vladislav Goldin did his part, going for 21 points on an efficient 7-of-11 shooting. Michigan is now a half-game back of Sparty with 5 regular-season games left to play, including the finale in East Lansing March 9. Michigan has won 6 of the past 7 games, but it is an awful 1-9 against the spread (ATS) in the past 10 games. The Under has cashed in 3 of the past 4 games and gone 5-2 in the previous 7 outings. The Cornhuskers were pounded 89-72 at Penn State last time out on Wednesday, and Nebraska has dropped 2 of the past 3 games, going 1-2 ATS. G Connor Essegian was a bright spot off the bench, posting a team-high 20 points, including four 3-pointers. F Andrew Morgan was a perfect 8 of 8 from the floor, ending up with 18 points. The Over is on a 5-1 run, as Nebraska's D continues to struggles. The Huskers allow 72.0 points per game, while allowing 3-pointers at an alarming 33.9 percent rate. – Rankings: USA TODAY Sports Men's Basketball Coaches Poll (*-new rankings to be released Monday afternoon) Stream select live college basketball games and full replays: Get ESPN+ Michigan at Nebraska odds Provided by BetMGM Sportsbook; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. PASS, and play against the spread instead. MICHIGAN +1.5 (-115) makes way more sense getting 1.5 points. Yes, the Wolverines have really struggled against the number in recent weeks. In fact, it's hard to ignore a 1-9 ATS mark in the past 10 games. However, the Wolverines are the much better team, shooting 35.6% from downtown. Michigan should be able to take advantage of a struggling Nebraska -1.5 (-105) perimeter defense to get the job done, and grab a rare road cover. During the 1-9 ATS skid, the lone cover was an 86-83 win at Ohio State Feb. 16, so there's that. OVER 150.5 (-110) is worth playing lightly in this tale of 2 teams. The Wolverines are an Under machine, cashing low in 3 of the past 4 games and 5 of the previous 7 outings. There was a time Michigan was the opposite, though, going Over in 7 in a row from Dec. 29 to Jan. 24. The Cornhuskers have been the opposite, cashing plenty of Under results early on, but going high on the total in 5 of the past 6 outings. We'll lean high, but don't get carried away here.
