Michigan (-105) on the moneyline makes little sense, rather than taking the points, unless you're absolutely convinced that Nebraska (-115) will win by 2-plus points.
PASS, and play against the spread instead.
MICHIGAN +1.5 (-115) makes way more sense getting 1.5 points.
Yes, the Wolverines have really struggled against the number in recent weeks. In fact, it's hard to ignore a 1-9 ATS mark in the past 10 games. However, the Wolverines are the much better team, shooting 35.6% from downtown. Michigan should be able to take advantage of a struggling Nebraska -1.5 (-105) perimeter defense to get the job done, and grab a rare road cover. During the 1-9 ATS skid, the lone cover was an 86-83 win at Ohio State Feb. 16, so there's that.
OVER 150.5 (-110) is worth playing lightly in this tale of 2 teams.
The Wolverines are an Under machine, cashing low in 3 of the past 4 games and 5 of the previous 7 outings. There was a time Michigan was the opposite, though, going Over in 7 in a row from Dec. 29 to Jan. 24.
The Cornhuskers have been the opposite, cashing plenty of Under results early on, but going high on the total in 5 of the past 6 outings. We'll lean high, but don't get carried away here.
