Gonçalo Ramos and Kang-in Lee allowed to leave PSG
Gonçalo Ramos (23) and Lee Kang-in (24) will be allowed to leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to a report from L'Équipe. The pair have featured sparingly throughout the campaign. Ramos suffered an ankle injury in the first game of the season, which sidelined him for several months. He has nonetheless gone on to make 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring 18 goals in that time, however, starts have been hard to come by. Luis Enrique has preferred Ousmane Dembélé in the No.9 position this season. Advertisement Lee also has 45 appearances in all competitions, but like Ramos, he has started rarely. He has just four starts in the UEFA Champions League and he hasn't been included in the starting XI during the knockout phases of the competition. Both have contracts that run until 2028 but will be allowed to leave, for the right price, this summer. Following their triumph in the Champions League, they are under no obligation to sell. Antero Henrique favourite to replace Luís Campos in case of sporting director's PSG exit
Luís Campos is the architect of a Paris Saint-Germain squad that is one step away from making the final of the UEFA Champions League. Signings made since his arrival as sporting director in 2022 – the likes of Ousmane Dembélé, Bradley Barcola, Désiré Doué, Vitinha, and João Neves – are playing a starring role in PSG's success both in Europe and domestically, with Luis Enrique's side having already wrapped up the Ligue 1 title. However, whilst the Spanish manager resolved his future back in February, signing a contract renewal that runs until 2027, the future of Campos remains uncertain. Get French Football News understands that whilst talks with the Portuguese director are ongoing, the more time elapses, the less likely he is to sign a renewal, with his contract up at the end of the season. Luis Enrique has expressed a wish for Campos to remain at PSG beyond the end of the season, however, the more time passes, the less chance there is of that wish being realised. Back to the future at PSG? GFFN also understands that, in the event of Campos leaving PSG, a former director could be in line to take the job – Antero Henrique, who previously held the sporting director job between 2017 and 2019 and who retained a standing and an influence at the Ligue 1 club beyond his mandate. PSG Sporting Director Luis Campos in advanced talks with major European club
PSG Sporting Director Luis Campos looks increasingly on his way out of Paris's Parc des Princes. According to Sacha Tavolieri, the Portuguese manager is in advanced talks with a 'major' European club because no agreement has been found so far over a contract renewal for Campos, despite head coach Luis Enrique pushing for it. Since his arrival in 2022, Campos has played an instrumental role in instilling a new philosophy at PSG, which has entailed moving away from signing big-name stars. There has been more of a focus on homegrown talents in France more generally, as well as those coming through the academy. As further proof of Campos' time at PSG looking over, the Portuguese is in the process of writing a book. Get French Football News understands that whilst talks with the Portuguese director are ongoing, the more time elapses, the less likely he is to sign a renewal, with his contract up at the end of the season. GFFN also understands that, in the event of Campos leaving PSG, former PSG director Antero Henrique could be in line to take Campos' job. Bayern Munich's Dayot Upamecano ruled out with knee issue
In an official press release, Bayern Munich have revealed that Dayot Upamecano (26) will miss several weeks of action after sustaining a knee injury. The centre-back played the whole 120 minutes as France overcame Croatia in the quarter-final of the UEFA Nations League at the Stade de France on Sunday night. He even netted the winning spot-kick to seal France's progression to the final four, which will take place in the summer. However, Upamecano has now suffered a setback. Upon his return from international duty, it has been revealed that he is set for a period on the sidelines. Bayern Munich have confirmed that the centre-back has loose joints in his left knee, which will require treatment and a period of recovery. Bayern Munich have not further specificed his period of absence, however, it can assumed that his participation in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final against Inter Milan is in doubt.
