Protestors gather at Liliac Park for GJ Stands with LA protest
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — Since 5:30 p.m., a large group of individuals have gathered at Lilac Park at North Avenue and N 1st Street as part of a 'GJ Stands with LA' protest.
GJ Stands with LA was formed to show solidarity with the No ICE protestors in Los Angeles and across the country.
The protest is peaceful, and at this time, there have been no arrests or injuries.
With the increase of pedestrians near the intersection, individuals are advised to be cautious when driving around the area.
GJ Stands with LA protest is separate from the No Kings Day protest at Canyon View Park, which will take place on Saturday at 10 a.m.

UPDATE:
The demonstration appeared to have ended at approximately 6:40 p.m. There are still no reports of injuries or arrests and the protest remained peaceful throughout its duration. There were approximately over 40 individuals present at the protest.
